Would 50 plus characters really be feasible for Sakurai and the team from the launch of smash 4? I really want 50 and will likely have around 50 in my own list but I've been wondering about this because it could potentially be a lot of work depending if they choose to reuse some of the same resources from brawl, which is fine imo. DLC could very well help in the character inclusion process this time too.
I think there's a good chance we'll get fifty or more characters in the next game (transformation included). There's still around thirty possible candidates left with around twenty or so being plausible additions. Plus with Namco Bandai helping, getting to fifty characters should be possible.
Why anybody thinks Tharja will be in it is beyond me. Her outfit is far too revealing for the kid-friendly aesthetic; Bayonetta and Zero-Suit Samus are as sexy as we'll get.

I don't get it either. I haven't been keeping up with what's popular in FE:A, but if some of the lords were relegated to Assist Trophy duty, there's no way a side character would show up.
Edited: Tiebreaker requirement are waived but it will be your choice if you want to do tiebreaker stuff. If you chose to not then you will lose the tiebreaker by default.

Yes it's fun to dream. One thing we know for sure is that Tharja is not only popular amongst the fans but also with the IS developers who made the game. (There's was a great interview floating around awhile back) I don't see her as a roster choices but I can see her getting picked in some form. Maybe an AT (who stalks you ) , Trophy, sticker, etc.

Kind of a tame list that plays it safe, but I hope there's at least a few solid surprises. Honestly I might remove Mega Man before the deadline, he makes perfect sense but I don't have high hopes for Capcom cooperating.
EDIT 6/7/13: Made a couple last minute decisions... mainly realized that any Pokemon Gen 6 newcomers are going to be ones we already know about on at least some level (though it could also be an important marketing Pokemon that gets revealed during the E3 roundtable, in which case I will kick myself). I deleted the nebulous "Pokemon XY Rep" slot, also deleted Pokemon Trainer as a veteran, and replaced him with Gen 6 Pokemon Trainer. I think if this happens we'll get Gen 1 PT as a DLC character. Anyway I think 49 is still a good character number so I refilled the extra slot I deleted with Duck Hunt Dog, for a slightly weirder roster that I'm happier with. (Though it's still not weird enough imo)
EDIT 6/9/13: Changed my mind on changing my mind after I saw that a new Pokemon was gonna be revealed next week, and put "Pokemon XY Rep" back. I also figure that Sakurai isn't really a fan of recycling unique gimmicks for new characters, so I deleted Gen 6 Trainer. And kept Gen 1 Trainer off the list! I dunno, I kinda feel like he'll be returning as DLC if anything. Probably my very last edit, let's see how this goes!
