Ha. Ahem.
I'm looking forward to Tran's next film too. Norwegian Wood

Yeah, I'm trying to remain hopeful towards Rain even though I know it'll be a mess (I gather you may have seen it already?). Hearing about Norwegian Wood a few months ago made my heart skip a beat.

No, I'm not commenting on the film's quality since I've not seen it. I'm just skeptical that it'll come out this year, or before Norwegian Wood.

Star Trek
Make me feel like a nerdy kid, plz.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
The last couple films haven't been perfect, and I'm not particularly liking the sound of some of the changes to this one (
no Dumbledore funeral, no Dursley's
). But I'm excited to see it anyway.

Dragonball: Evolution
I feel obligated to go see this shit. :(

GI JOE
Cautiously optimistic. I hope it, and TF2, make a shit load of money so a studio will fast track the new Masters of the Universe film to cash in on American audience's 80s nostalgia orgy.

Transformers 2
Less humans please. PLEASE?

I'm sure there are other, better, movies to see in 2009. But these are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS!

Forgot to mention these ones as well:

Public Enemies
Terminator: Salvation
AVATAR
Goemon
Crows Zero 2

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Avatar
The Road
The Tree of Life
Public Enemies
Up
Where the Wild Things Are

Those are the ones i'm most excited for, but i really haven't been keeping up on 2009 films so there's probably more.

1. Up trailer
I'm loving getting the now annual Pixar love.

2. Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen
The first was great, this one came round quick, hope it's good.

3. Monsters Vs Aliens trailer
Dreamworks only release for 09, and it looks awesome, after Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2, could the studio be on the way up to Pixars level?

4. 9 trailer

This just looks awesome.

5. Watchmen trailer

As does this...

Mifune

Mehmber
The Road
Doctor Parnassus
Green Zone (Paul Greengrass)
Public Enemies
Tree of Life

I'm sure there are others, but that's off the top of my head.

Or should it be Air-Doll? I don't know, whatever Doona Bae's movie with Hirokazu Koreeda is called. And I forgot The Limits of Control in my list there.

Inglorious Bastards and The Road are probably the two movies I'm most excited about, is there a list of 2009 releases somewhere?

Windu

Haven't seen many trailers yet, but of the stuff I have seen, Terminator, Watchmen and Star Trek.

It's not Night-Fragrant Flower. That's after this project, supposedly. I doubt it'll be done for this year, but who knows?

Up
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
9
1906 (Brad Birds first non animated feature, I doubt it'll actually be out this year though.)
The Road
Tree of Life
Mother (<3 Joon Ho-Bong, plus it sounds like its similar to Memories of Murder, yay!)

I hope this year is better than 2008. It shouldn't be too hard to accomplish.

Public Enemies has been on my list for a while.

Also T4 just to see where it goes. It can't be any worse than T3.... can it?!

Last is Avatar. I want to see what all this hype is about.

Radcliff let slip in an interview that they did film the first thing, but who knows if it will end up in the film.

I still can't imagine a perfect world where the Watchmen will do well.

I will be interested how the film plays out and the different versions and issues of the film.
