505 Games’ ‘Zumba Fitness’ (-24%) celebrates 5 consecutive weeks at No1, giving it a total of 8 weeks at the top since the launch of the hugely successful Wii version.

‘Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2’ fails to cast its spell on the charts, debuting at No7. It’s by far the lowest ever sales in a launch week for a Harry Potter game, despite charting higher than ‘Part 1’ which came in at No20 in November 2010. It’s a happier story for Activision Blizzard’s film tie-in ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ (Xbox 360/PS3) which climbs one place to No2 with only a 6% drop in sales. Codemasters fall one place to No3 with ‘Dirt 3’ (-25%) while continued price promotion on ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ (+35%) pushes it up from No7 to No4. There are now 2 Lego games in the Top 10 as Disney’s ‘Lego Pirates of the Caribbean’ (-10%) falls one place to No5, followed by ‘Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars’ (+33%) from LucasArts, back in the Top 10, climbing from No12 to No6.

‘EA Sports Active 2’ (+338%) also re-acquaints itself with the Top 10 this week thanks to a significant price promotion, propelling it back into the chart at No8. The Top 10 is rounded off by former No1 ‘Brink’ (-9%) down one place to No9 and ‘Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’ (+12%), up from No15 to No10.

The 3DS is really feeling the effects of a fairly lacklustre PAL launch line-up.

Will be great when more titles actually get released, rather than canned.

Then again, I guess the 3DS folks are doing the sensible thing and diving into the NDS library whilst killer titles ready for release.

Have any 3DS games been canned? I know about the recent Mega Man Legends 3, but i saw some mention of 3DS games being canceled in the NPD thread as well, and this was before MML3 was canceled.

So apparently Zumba Fitness does not have a wikipedia page... how the hell am I supposed to find out what the deal with this game is? Does anyone have any idea why this game is so popular in the UK when the rest of the world (and the internet) seems to have never heard of it?

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Actually
Saints Row, Assassin's Creed and MML3.
However, SR was going to be the port of the XBLA/PSN title,so nothing to miss really.

It is basically a dancing game. Just Dance was really popular in the UK, so i guess this is why Zumba is also very popular. It is probably well adverticed in the UK as well.

It charted a few time in the Npd ranking too. It's a dance game with a fitness "twist", which is all the rage these days.

seeing how many Nintendo games chart in europe, I understand why NoE loves gives this much love to them, you guys deserve it!

To be fair they're the only one at Nintendo who are not shitting the bed lately, I bet if they designed the 3DS it would have been a success

and they just got Zelda teaser.

I agree as of late, Nintendo is doing better there. Fuck NoA.

Yeah we also got these DS games and Another Code R too on Wii.
So yeah we're really no longer treated like 2nd class citizen anymore.
Who cares about a demo on some online service nobody have any access anyway.
(by that I mean the majority of their customers don't have access to it because they don't even have a 3DS to begin with)

Return of PS3 best games. any sales on them or Sony has released the Platinum edition of these games?

According to a new product listing on Amazon France, Gran Turismo 5 will be joining the PlayStation 3’s “Platinum Range” less than one year after its release, on October 5, 2011.

The date could be a placeholder but gt5 platinum is coming

My wife plays Zumba on Kinect at least 3 times a week. She loves it. Dance Central, Your Shape, etc all collect dust. It's Zumba or bust for her. Quite interesting.

Sometimes when I'm trying to go to sleep those fucking zumba songs are in my head and wont go away. One of these nights I'm going to wake up in a cold sweat in the corner of the bedroom humming a Zumba song.
