Your Top 3 Games of the Gen?

I think there's a rule against creating list threads; the same reason Scoularis got junior'd, IIRC

Honestly an incredible run of games.

Runners up are Portal 2, Xenoblade, Uncharted 2, Bioshock, MGS4, and Zelda TP.

I just looked through my own post history and never really got that impression at all. I'm a fan of all consoles and games. Dark Souls being my favorite title this gen is evidence of that. Even in the thread I started where I stated I shared Nintendo's philosophy that games development should be cheaper and less graphics focused, I said that they largely failed to demonstrate their vision with the Wii as the idea was half baked.

and crappy list thread? My God. A lot of people here seem interested in it and most of my threads. Demoting me to junior because of this proves somebody is holding a grudge.

I'm calling shenanigans here. Sorry.

Not list threads, but ranking/voting threads. There's list threads here all the time, but they're generally frowned upon by moderation.

If you do make a list thread, they recommend at least adding some explanations, which engenders discussion.

What did you preorder with your Wii U?
What games are you getting this holiday season?

My guess would be: You made a topic but didn't bother to put much thought into it. You then edited it to add that you're too lazy to explain more. Why make a topic if you're too lazy in the first place? List threads such as this one have little to no discussion value, they almost could be considered spam.
I'm not familiar with your past topics so maybe this one was the final straw.

It's funny that they only apply to some people.

Like the last time I got a 30 ban for posting a scan when literally thousands are posted in the manga threads.

Yeah that would have to be worst reason to junior somebody in history.

I went back and edited my post so you guys could have the option to give your opinions on top of posting.

See my reply. Not list threads per se, but ranking/voting threads. List threads made of just simple lists, no replies or images are frowned upon.
 
1.) Gears of War (just blew me away and leveled the playing field with PS3 graphics)
2.) Mass Effect 2
3.) Saints Row 3

Honorable Mention - Batman: Arkam Asylum / City, BioShock, and Skyrim.

Halo 4 looks like it will take the top spot though from what I'm seeing. Borderlands 2 is also looking to move up on that list.

Red Dead Redemption
Uncharted 2

I'm struggling to narrow down a third because there are so many. It's probably between BioShock, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Crackdown, Mario Galaxy, Battlefield 3, Arkham City and Trials Evolution. I'm sure I'm forgetting tons that will come to me as soon as I submit this.

If we're counting handheld games, add Ouendan, Bowser's Inside Story, and Ace Attorney 1 and 3. I know they were GBA games, but I played them this gen.

Edit: Fuck! The Witcher 2 as well.

1. Mass Effect - Favourite 360 game, loved KOTOR and when I saw that Bioware were releasing a scifi action RPG I was thrilled. Best out of the trilogy and my favourite single player 360 game.

2. Battlefield 3 - Modern Warfare really got me when it was first released (and everyone else) but BF3 brought me back to the PC and creates moments that most games FPS or otherwise would die for. Atmosphere rich.

3. Uncharted 2 - Throughly fantastic game that rightly cemented Naughty Dog as the premier PS3 developer and one of the very best devs of this gen, technically fantastic with gameplay, story and atmosphere to boot, almost the complete package.

Thanks for the find... problem is I never saw this post. I don't know how we are expected to adhere to rules that are not publicly visible at all times and why they only seem to be enforced against some posters, but I will take it up with them and see what happens.
