The challenge is to finish 3 or more games a month. What counts as finishing a game can sometimes be fuzzy, so go with what you're satisfied with. There are no hard rules.
I find that having this goal can be a good reminder to pick up some old saves, and motivation to continue games through the occasional frustrating times.
Please post your goals for the month, and please share your triumphs and setbacks and impressions of the games as the month goes by.
How Long to Beat is a big help, giving me a good idea of how much longer a game will take.
Backloggery can be used to keep track of the games you have and haven't finished, to prevent a game from falling through the cracks.
Does anyone have other tools they use?
52 Games. 1 Year. 2016. is a thread for if you're looking for a bigger challenge.
Good luck to everyone chipping away at their backlog.

I have finished three:
Hurt Me Plenty: Finished on the 11th. Robert Yang, the developer said of his game: "This a short game where you spank the heck out of a dude and learn about how BDSM communities attempt to formalize consent / caring. I was really interested in how we can make games about intimacy without a "kindness coins = sex cutscene" trope, and how we can use expressive gestures to roleplay / think about pain and intimacy". It lasts just a few minutes for one 'play'. I played it about 5 times to try different variations on the theme (different negotiated limits).
Cobra Club: Finished. Another short game by Robert Yang, about privacy through the medium of dick pics. Part of the reason I played these games is that they are short, since I'm putting a lot of time into Twilight Princess this month, but I am also interested in seeing what they are.
Twilight Princess HD: Finished on the 25th. I didn't fully expect to finish it this month. For all I heard about it having some of the best dungeons in the series, I wasn't especially impressed by their designs. I liked the game a lot overall but it didn't impress me as much as OoT, MM or TWW. I realised afterwards that this means there's just one 3D console Zelda I haven't finished, Skyward Sword. Maybe I'll move on to that. But first, it means I can start to watch Twilight Princess speedruns!
I'll list these as games I'll try for:
The Witness: I love this game and have 'finished' it, but will continue and try to platinum it.
Tales of Zestiria: I want to finish it and probably have 15 hours left.
The Fall: I bought this, but barely started it.
