Persona 5 runs on PS3 Emulator

Looking neat. I'll play it on my PS3 but it's nice to know I'll maybe be able to play it at higher resolutions in a few years.

Really nice to see the progress. I've always thought it would be a pretty smart move to get Persona getting playable as quickly as possible since it's the biggest opportunity to get more patrons.
 
Not in a good enough state for me to consider, and luckily I don't have to as I own a ps4, but damn if that isn't some kind of wizardry.

Wonder if they'll see the same kind of bump the Cemu devs did with Zelda.
 
And still people say Sony couldn't do a PS3 emulator on PS4 Pro. While some hobby coders (who don't have access to the PS3 details and therefore have to reverse engineer everything) are able to emulate PS3 games.

It's even running in interpreter mode, which is slow as hell.
 
The fact that this runs at all is mindblowing. I'm bummed that they never patched in 4K for PS4 Pro owners so this might be a good way to enjoy the game a few months/years down the road.

I remember buying a copy of P4 on eBay 2, 3 years after it came out (bought Golden on the JP Vita store years later) and running it with PCSX2. Thing ran perfectly until some generic beetle enemies in the final dungeon had such a chrome sheen to them that they ground the whole thing to a halt for nearly a minute. Still not sure what that was about, but I can imagine how ornery a PS3 emulator might get.
 
are there any major differences between PS3 and PS4 versions?

is texture work similar? AA shouldnt be an issue when running this emulated
 
Neat. I would have purchased the PS3 version if I knew this would run flawlessly soon. I don't have as much faith in this emulator as I do Cemu.

Oh hell, if I could get my Japanese copy of Vesperia to run with an English patch that would be amazing. Separately I already have PS4 version of P5 on order but may pickup a PS3 version just for this.

If only there was a way to love saves between PS4 and PC. Hmm I wonder if Save download from PS+ to PS3 could be moved.

I don't see why it wouldn't be OK. I mean, these guys are getting some fantastic work done, and it's clear the fact that the Patreaon model is helping these emulator advance at a much faster pace.

Why the fuck wouldn't it be? Its their program, their code. They have every single legal and moral right to profit from it. Shit, they could even sell it if they wanted to.
