He said he'd hold off on brand new M33 builds until Sony releases a major update. We'll see.

I wish D_A would work his magic on PS3.

Can you imagine ripping your own PS2 games to HDD? :D

That would be pretty awesome. Espically if you could do imports on the PS3...Would love to play some SRW's and Narutimett Hero on PS3...

guess i have to settle for ps2.

I'm surprised that the PS3 visual player has not been updated yet

Edit: Scratch that. Seems they have added a planet visualizer now. Looks pretty slick!!

Downloading now. COOL. Internet radio could be the shiznit if done right.

Edit: I checked out the Internet radio stations (there's two services). Launchcast was kinda cool. The other one had pretty terrible sound quality, at least for me.

Games off the hard drive
Region-free PS2/PS1 titles
More video codecs supported
Alter volume of games/demos icons
Make the GH3 controllers work in Rock Band AND vice versa
Screenshot plug in

Damnit, there goes Remote Play for CFW users again.

Why? It still works for me. It's not firmware related. It's program related.

If the files changed this time, no big deal. Just decrypt the prx and put them in yourself. Easy.

The internet radio thing is AWESOME. Plus there's going to be open support for anyone to make their own radio system widget on the PSP...neat.

This is the best update ever. :D

The Internet Radio player comes in two flavors, one supporting ShoutCast and one supporting IceCast. Both need to be downloaded. Both have browser-based UIs but there's definitely something you need to dowload to run either "radio". Only seems to let you randomly select stations on either radio. You can select your genre from one of 50 but from there, there's no way to tell what you're getting.

The help page says a developer kit for creating an internet radio player will be available on Sony's Japan-region web site, timeframe unspecific.

RSS Image support works real nice. Thumbnails displayed at the main RSS feed list and you can display directly from there without having to download then view from the Photo menu. You can even run an automatic slideshow straight from the RSS feed and go forward or back with L & R.

Edit: hmm, option to save the pic gave me an error on two separate pics. Can view fine in the slideshow mode though.

Aww dammit. Still no update to the video support for the newer video podcast formats. "Unsupported Data" :(

Is it half as good as the awesome, awesome PSPRadio?

It picks a random station out of a genre!? What the HELL? Sounds like this thing has more updates planned.

It is pretty awesome just because you will quickly find a favorite one that (hopefully is near the top of the dial) you like.

Holy shit, wifi Internet radio on PSP is fucking awesome. Man, this is cool. I'm listening to The Cure over the Internet wirelessly on my PlayStation Portable! And it sounds excellent!

Edit: RPG radio station is very nice.
Where is this? Where? Do you just keep going down the dial on the ShoutCast player?

Internet radio II

Edit: fucken awesome btw.

You know how the PSP gets hot when using internet?

Will there be any problems when using internet radio for extended periods of time? because that is what will happen quite a bit.

Slims never get hot. Ever. :D

But no, I don't see how it could mess up internally for fat PSPs.

Okay, just wondering because I am totally addicted to this Kawaii Radio station, and I could see myself playing it in the background for 3-4 hours while studying for my classes.

The Shoutcast player is pretty awesome. I'm listening to the 1.FM Always Christmas station (19th station under various). :lol :D

Sorry, that wasn't quite accurate. You have a number of selections in a genre and you can pick any one you want, but you don't have any way of knowing in advance what you're selecting.

Scroll down (hold square and move the nub down, as if you're in a browser window). You'll see all of the stations in the Internet radio app listed, and you can just move the cursor over any to switch without using the dial.

In Internet radio II, there is a station devoted entirely to game music. I just got done listening to a track from Daytona USA. :D

Those aren't the stations, those are the genres. Each genre can have multiple stations. You use the dial to select stations within a genre.

..Well, damn. There is a lot more content here than I thought. Now I see what you mean, though, in that it is somewhat unorganized. That is to say, there is so much shit here!

Within each of these genres is a whole range of stations. Shit! There's a whole range of stations devoted to game music! This is delicious!

Damn.

I've found the best station ever. Since starting it up I've heard music from:

- Chrono Trigger
- Chrono Cross
- Secret of Mana
- Suikoden
- Radiata Stories
- FFVI
- and a whole bunch inbetween.

I'm a very happy boy tonight.

I'll stick with my M33 PSP Slim for now. PSP Radio FTW

PSP Radio is definitely better. The internet radio included in 3.80 gets all laggy when scrolling / switching songs. It's decent though overall... just not as good as PSP Radio.
