UK :

Just like last year, week 1 was owned by EA and the latest version of FIFA. But week 2 sees Activision back on top for the first time since clinching the Xmas No1 in week 51, 2007 – ‘Call of Duty 4’ laying down covering fire to claim a 3rd week at No1 since launch (-21%) and declining far less than the rest of the Top 10.
EA’s ‘FIFA 08’ only drops to No2 however (-50%) and Ubisioft continue an impressive run with ‘Assassin’s Creed’ back up one place to No3 (-43%). EA’s ‘The Simpsons Game’ drops one place to No4 (-53%) and Activision rise 4 places to a new chart high point at No5 with ‘Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock’ (-30%). Konami remain at No6 with Pro Evolution Soccer 2008’ (-42%) and EA drop 2 places to No7 with ‘Need for Speed: Prostreet’ (-46%). Nintendo’s Brain Training duo occupy No’s 8 & 9 with original ‘Kawashima’ at No8 (-26%) and ‘More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima’ at No9 (-39%). Sega keep hold of a top 10 placing with ‘The Golden Compass’ down 3 places to No10 (-51%).

Some old favorites returning. But where is Mario and Sonic? I wanted to buy that game the other day but I couldn't find one, seems like the UK has the same problem.
 
So PS3 fans prefer PES08 while 360 fans prefer FIFA08? Interesting. :lol

It's great to see Uncharted hanging in there as well although I am quite disappointed that only 5 PS3 games charted and all of them were in the top 20.
 
Holy shit at Assassins Creed and Call of Duty 4. They just keep selling on both systems.

NFS: Prostreet took a massive tumble. Rather interesting. PS2 userbase by up for the holidays and are now casually poor. :lol
 
Wooo Uncharted went up this week very nice. :D

And this is the first time PES PS3 went above the 360 version.

And WTF @ Super Paper Mario that rose from the ashes!! o_O

Wouldn't be so bad if Konami had done their fans on the PS3 justice by doing a decent job of the port. (or hell, even putting any effort in on the game this year)

Oh for sure, Konami fucked the game up. I backed the wrong game and purchased PES08 instead of FIFA08. Konami better not drop the ball again this year or I will not purchase the game again.
 
Nice to see Uncharted staying steady, hopefully Dec NPD is more kind than the knife slash to the ball sack that Nov NPD was to it.

Ps3 version of pes has been reduced of late on the ps3. Fifa is alot better this year and im a pes fan but fifa is the game of choice this year. Nothing much out this week on the games front here, we finally get galaxy wars on wii this week though wooo.

So there's still no Mario & Sonic restock? Sega's losing quite some momentum there, wtf is wrong with Nintendo's DVD production factories...

and yay for Galaxy!

I sure hope Geometry wars and Zack & Wiki somehow manage to have a decent sellthrough next week.
