if thats true, its not in UK... there were not Sony bundles in UK until this week. This will be reflected next monday. Also, bundle basically means that for 50 GBP you get 2 games (save around 10-12 GBP total), games are not free.

I am not sure what kind of bundle there was in spain, but in continental europe, bundles are usually packed in with hardware and thus not counted in software charts.

Yup - no official UK bundles until this week (Fri anyway) .

Even then it will be a 'Strap on' bundle and not a 'pack in' meaning that the games are scanned separately and priced down for the offer and thus count towards the chart.

It's the DS version of an old boardgame series by Ravensburger. I've seen quite a few ads for this. Not surprised it's in the charts.

Brain training's main market is the 30+ DS owner. I know one person with a DS who doesn't own any training games (my younger sister - 25).

The only game related TV adverts (granted I don't watch much TV these days) I see are for either Playsation 3 games, football/soccer games or multiplatform games. Judging by the adverts alone you'd think Nintendo was still in the same position as it was in last generation.

UK anecdotal news time.

GAME RELEASES THIS WEEK LINK

So many good Wii games came out in the UK this week and it seems to be
Ghost Squad > Zack & Wiki> gap > Wii Chess & Nights about the same but Chess slightly in front, but MARIO & SONIC is back in stock everywhere and outselling them all - will be top 10 again.
GS has benefited by being £29.99 and having a free gun holder in some stores - should be in top 40 all formats Units sales along with Zack & Wiki.

Wii is back in excess stock too so expect spikes for all the big games.
Not sure on Wii Play stock, but Zelda Crossbow is in short supply and keep selling out.

COD4 PS3 is OUT of stock so expect lots of people to say the PS3 is doomed as that drops.
Forgot to check the PS3 bundle situation, but the charts will show which games people are choosing.

DS is in and then out of stock, but Nintendo seem to be holding back on that for the big DS week in 2 weeks time.

Forgot to ask what the next big Nintendo title is that is being pushed after Z&W on the terminal screens.

UK anecdotal news time.

GAME RELEASES THIS WEEK LINK

So many good Wii games came out in the UK this week and it seems to be
Ghost Squad > Zack & Wiki> gap > Wii Chess & Nights about the same but Chess slightly in front, but MARIO & SONIC is back in stock everywhere and outselling them all - will be top 10 again.
GS has benefited by being £29.99 and having a free gun holder in some stores - should be in top 40 all formats Units sales along with Zack & Wiki.

Wii is back in excess stock too so expect spikes for all the big games.
Not sure on Wii Play stock, but Zelda Crossbow is in short supply and keep selling out.

COD4 PS3 is OUT of stock so expect lots of people to say the PS3 is doomed as that drops.
Forgot to check the PS3 bundle situation, but the charts will show which games people are choosing.

Forgot to ask what the next big Nintendo title is that is being pushed after Z&W on the terminal screens.

I only started work 2 days ago after i had a week off for revision but thats around about the same thing that is happening in my Gamestation store. Mario and Sonic has been back in stock early last week, but it has sold really well and we only got a few copies left (no second-hand copies afaik).
Zelda Crossbow, its hard to judge in my store since we rarely have those in, but when they do, they get sold pretty fast as well.
As for new releases, Ghost Squad is doing ok, Nights is bombing in our store, Wii Chess (wow i didn't know it was a retail game, thought it was WiiWare) is not doing good and Zack and Wiki is selling .. ok.. not brilliant.

DS is killing everything.

Sorry yeah 8th Feb (best release calendar) - M&S DS has been promised major TV ads and all that and is the best selling Wii game over a single week so far. Also the next Training game comes out for the DS - Maths Training. No way that those two big guns are coming out without massive hardware behind them. Sponge bob hits too - be interesting to see if kids games still flop on the DS here, they were really slow shifters on the GBA.

Questions are will Maths Training 'bomb' like Sight Training or build to a massive 1 million like Brain Training and will M&S be a slow starter like the Wii version was?
