Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is already up there. :)

I left out UMD videos though, given they're not PSP specific.

Now which of those games have screenshots released and absolute confirmation on release?
Screens: maybe a quarter?
Confirmed release: all

More terrible lists! Jarrod you need to double check stuff before posting!

-Makkai Wars (NIS)
-MediEvil (SCEI)
-Persona (Konami)

It's Makai Wars, one k. MediEvil is SCEE, not SCEI. Persona is Atlus, not Konami. *sigh*

Konami's now publishing all Atlus games in Japan which is why he listed it as that.

Right but if he was listing the PUBLISHER and not the DEVELOPER, why is Makai Wars listed as NIS? Atlus USA is distributing that in the US.

-Polarium (Nintenco)
:p

Gah, I'm almost convinced that Nightmare Troubadour and Gundam SEED DS don't exist anymore. One is about the old series and if we got news about it now it would horribly behind, of course they've probably updated it though. :p

And we've seen nothing of Yu-Gi-Oh at all since E3, which is quite odd really, but then again Konami really never shows off their Duel Monsters games much before release. But gah, if they pushed it they could have definitely have made this the first international release for the DS Yu-Gi-Oh! lineup at launch. International 2 is one of the best games in the entire series, and even rivals Duel Monsters 6.

Oh fuck what am I talking about, no one here plays any of them.

More terrible corrections! Seems I'm not the only one who needs to double check some things...

01 Sorry I misspelled Makai. I used some titles from old lists, no doubt some other titles are outdated or misspelled

02 SCEE *is* SCEI. As in Sony Computer Entertianment International. I grouped all the SCE divisions this time.

03 Konami taken over all publishing duties for Atlus from what I understand, not simply distribution. That would make a difference between them and how Atlus/NIS operate. If I'm listing distributor the SVG would be in place of Crave, Natsume, Conspiracy and a bunch of other tiny publishers. And Take Two in place of Rockstar or 2K Games.

Naka mentioned both DS/PSP Puyo getting US releases and both have already shown up on retail lists.

Sad but true!

01. But this is a new lists! The lists must be updated! :D

02. Is SCE International official or did you just make it up? o_O

03. Oh okay then, that explaination works, but I would rather you do it under developer... makes more sense imo.

01 *grumble grumble*

02 I didn't make it up, but I'm not entirely sure if it's "official". Bloomberg used it for one (calling Kenichi Fukunaga VP of it). SCEI could just mean Sony Computer Entertianment Inc too (which is what I think it might stand for also). Either way, it can be interpreted to encompass all SCE divisions really.

03 I had developers listed too before, but so many games were missing developers or ended up having 3-4 names included, that I thought I'd just cut things down a bit.

Has the PSP US version been confirmed yet? I haven't seen any news on the subject.
Yes, when it was first announced for PS2/PSP. It's being developed (PS2/PSP) in the US as well btw.

A casual announcement does not equal confirmed release.

A better list would be games with an actual release date.

Define "casual announcement"? Should we leave Resident Evil 4 off all announced PS2 lists until we get a date then?

I won't get Activision Anthology unless it offers something substantial over the GBA version, however.

I'm counting retail lists as confirmed. All Majesco's upcoming games were revealed there (DVDBoxOffice) too, not just AOE DS.

No, Majesco was going to release it I believe (not sure, but I believe there was some type of announcement)

How about adding a rumored games list? All I can think of offhand is...

Nintendo DS
-Phantasy Star Online DS (Sega)
-Soul Calibur (Namco)

tba Matsuno project (Square Enix)

PSP
-SOCOM (SCEI)
-Zone of the Enders (Konami)

...there's got to be more, right?

Winning Eleven Soccer, Tekken, Virtua Fighter 4, and Resident Evil I've heard rumored for the PSP.

Soul Calibur, Star Fox, F-Zero, for the DS.

Gah, I haven't heard any of those? Well except Soul Calibur DS and Winning Eleven PSP (which isn't a rumor, it was announced and it's on the list)... I *have* heard lots of people on GAF wanting those specific games though, but nothing really indicating they're coming. Where'd you hear about them?

Nintendo.com and PlayStation.com list a few titles that are a bit dubious... I'll include them though anyway.

Tanaka... he's the Hanjuku guy, right? What else does his division make?

If it has screenshots (besides early renders), a trailer or a release date (or at least projected release date (ex: Q4 2005)).

Games like "tba Genre (Developer)" or "Big Name Series DS (Developer)" are hardly confirmations.

I guarantee you something like "Baten Kaitos DS" won't actually come out.

Zuh? How often does that happen? When a company announces a specific title like that it almost always comes out. Why wouldn't Baten Kaitos DS come out?

Sarcasm? I'm horrible at reading sarcasm on the net.

No its not sarcasm.

When a big company like Namco announces projects like Baten Kaitos for a certain platform, they almost always come out.

There are rare situations like with Dead Phoenix for the GameCube where a game will get canned during the dev process, but that's because of design issues, not because they never intended to really release the game.

Companies just don't throw out announcements like that for shits n' giggles. I don't know why you would continue to doubt a game coming out/being in development when the company itself has offically confirmed it.

They are when it comes directly from Nintendo and Sony.
