We're predicting for five games that I'm reasonably sure will be in the Top 10 (or at least that we'll get numbers for) with some leaning to what EEDAR predicts will make the Top 10 for the month.

7 days in the reporting period + Wii (blank) titles tend to sell a decent number for an ungodly number of months.

I thought of maybe using number of fans on Facebook as a possible number to base my numbers on, but that idea died when I saw how many different pages each of them had, and when I realized how messy the math would have to be to convert them into numbers anywhere close to what the NPD numbers normally are. Then I also remembered that not everyone who's a fan of one of the pages for the games is not necessarily from NA, nor did they necessarily buy the game in July (or at all). So that idea died. Instead I just made up numbers that were kinda close to what other people were posting.

I'm aware of that, which is why I think some of the earlier guesses were questionable. Because I doubt most of its sales have come between AUG 1 and 3. But that's fine, just thought I'd mention it for those who haven't noticed the announcement.

I am taking a big risk with my WSR #. I thought about putting 460K for it, but felt that there is a significant possibility that the 500K from Nintendo is a rounded down figure, from say 540K or 530K. Of course I could be wrong, and the 500K is a rounded up figure I put this in quote box to make sure the # is not automatically picked up as prediction

You are right. Must be some slip of memory, since I didn't remember the over part.

There are 4 people who predicted 500K+ for WSR.

IIRC, Nintendo's # are pretty close to NPD #. It happened with some launch that have big sales # (probably DSL launch or SMG launch). Anyone else remember this ?
