Wait, is this the first time either of the brothers has quit the band? Surely not.
This is the first time officially. Obviously there were bust ups before and Liam has quit tours, etc. but neither ever 'quit' the band. This is it, this is the end.

Come on. It'll be ok. Don't cry.

Well, for a band that I thought had already broken up, they lasted longer than they should have.

But hey, here's a replacement band for ya!

The band were due to play at Paris' Rock en Seine festival but did not take to the stage as planned.

According to eyewitnesses in the crowd, a message appeared on the festival's big screens saying the performance had been cancelled due to an "altercation".

Scottish singer Amy MacDonald, who also played the event, claimed via Twitter the band "cancelled again with one minute to stage time!!! Liam smashed Noel's guitar, huuuge fight!"

Their antics were amusing and pathetic 15 years ago, but now they're just pathetic.

I FREAKING LOVE OASIS!!!

This article was posted "an hour ago":

SAINT-CLOUD, France — British rock group Oasis cancelled a scheduled appearance at a music festival near Paris at the last minute on Friday after a fight between Noel and Liam Gallagher, organisers said.

The management of the Rock en Seine festival claimed that the group "no longer exists" after the alleged fight between its founding members, but there was no announcement from the band on their official website.

Several minutes before they were due to take to the stage in Saint-Cloud on Friday, a spokesman for the organisers announced to the crowd that Liam and his brother "had a fight backstage."

The spokesman added: "The group no longer exists. They will not play tonight and they are cancelling the rest of their European tour."

Oasis also pulled out of a concert last Sunday at the V Festival in Britain, with organisers saying Liam Gallagher had lost his voice, but there were rumours that he and his brother were having the latest in a string of feuds.

On Monday, Liam used his Twitter feed to rubbish rumours that the band were splitting up.

To be fair Blur broke up a few years ago.

Also, Oasis are nothing like Creed.

Obviously from the reactions here there aren't a whole lot of Oasis fans in the US but I'm pretty gutted to be honest. They've been my favourite band since I really got into music. It was listening to Oasis that got me into Sex Pistols, The Who, The Beatles etc.

I'm sure Noel and Liam will continue to write songs on their own. I also wouldn't be too suprised if they got back together.

I only know of this group because my friend is a huge fan. Oasis have some major anger problems, so im not surprised that one decided to left, probably had an arguement or is just overly stressed out.

Damn just yesterday i was listening Dig Out Your Soul ;____;
Noel and Liam solo album day one.

TO ALL THE COOL KIDS SAYING: WUTZ AN OASIS? LOLZ.
Very funny Go back to listen Tokyo Hotel T____T
Oasis rocks mofos! (No more)

They'll get back together. Whether it be 2, 4 or even 15 years from now. Liam and Noel will get back together and play banjo music.
