This mindset is just ludicrous and so absolutely misinformed that it really bugs me that someone could be so wrong and not even know it.proposition said:If they'd put a good album out since, say, 1995, I could understand how this was bad news.
Thnikkaman said:This is delicious! When Kasabian were supporting them recently it should have been the other way around.
Thnikkaman said:Aww, I just prefer the sound. Oasis were at their prime a while ago now, nothing's matched the fan favourites a decade ago, Kasabian sounds newer to me. Not the same old, same old.
Not even close....and I love Oasis.liquid_gears said:FUUUUUUUUCCKKKKKK
Meier is right, fuck Michael Jackson, this is much worse
They were at the Man City game last weekend (at opposite ends of the stadium). They're too difficult to read, this come out of nowhere, yet I'm not surprised.
I'm just glad I got to see them at Heaton Park and Wembley in the last two months.
I can't see this being the end, Noel has walked out before, but his statement seems pretty definite. Whether he patches things up or does some solo work, the core and extended fan base won't just allow things to fade away.

Oasis fanboys, please don't compare this inevitable break-up to the death of MJ.
Why not? If you don't care about MJ. I don't see why not.roosters93 said::lol

Then how come we've never heard of them?bill0527 said:Seriously, these fucking ignorant comments are almost ban-worthy.
They just released their greatest critically acclaimed album in over a decade last fall. They also sold over 2 million copies of it... which is probably 1,999,000 more copies than whatever shithead indie band you're fantasizing about these days.
liam gallagher said:Gallagher regularly made derisive remarks about Americans, as well as his brother Noel, which led to an ultimatum from the guitarist who briefly left the band in 1994. When addressing their less than hysterical reception in the States (especially by comparison to the UK), Gallagher stated "Americans want grungy people, stabbing themselves in the head on stage. They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don't get it."
Medalion said:Oasis aren't fake and kissing ass, they are too real and crude for Americans to handle.
People can't like bands unless they kiss the asses of record producers and fans and release radio friendly shit all the time.
These guys wanna play rock n' roll and it's not hip or modern and insult people if they feel like it.
So yeah nothing like todays big bands.
