Appropriate pick with Liam and Noel blockin out who I assume are Whitey, Guigs and Bonehead eh and Liam choking Noel... freudian slip?

Also another good song for today is obviously "Sad Song"...

"Don't throw it all away... don't throw it all away...at the end of the day"

Full On is one of my favorite b-sides, pretty underrated. All Around the World is probably my favorite single. Great A-side, amazing b-sides with Flashbax and The Fame plus the stellar cover of Street Fighting Man.

True. B-sides as great as A-sides... if Noel had been smart to release them slowly over time as albums, they'd probably have had a longer career at the top.

This is fucking awful. I want to cry

Yeah I'm going through the 5 stages of grief myself.

Right now I'm on anger.

Grown ass motherfucking men with kids and families.. still acting like this.

Those brothers are douchebags anyway. They talk more shit about other bands than I've ever seen. More people should get on the stage and punch them.

To be fair, they've both been pretty contrite and apologetic over the last year to all the bands they've slagged off on during their career.

Liam twittered an apology to "all the bands I've given shit to over the years" last weekend. And Noel has been all over British radio being apologetic and blaming a lot of his comments on the cocaine and alcohol.

Like I said, Noel is the talented one and is the most honest person in the music industry. He doesn't give a fuck about anybody else and when nudged by interviewers he will give his opinion, normally with some funny quips too. Who cares about whiny bitches in shit, inferior bands that take his opinion personally?

If they'd put a good album out since, say, 1995, I could understand how this was bad news.

anyone who says this hasn't really listened to their stuff.

michael jackson goes 20 years without putting out a good album and people lose their shit.

I think they just suffer from their first 2 being so ridiculously sexy. If any other band put out Heathen Chemistry or Don't Believe the Truth people would think they were genii, but since it's Oasis "meh, not as good as the first 2".

This mindset is just ludicrous and so absolutely misinformed that it really bugs me that someone could be so wrong and not even know it.

This is delicious! When Kasabian were supporting them recently it should have been the other way around.

Oasis opening for Kasabian.. :lol

Someone make this guy a perma-junior

Aww, I just prefer the sound. Oasis were at their prime a while ago now, nothing's matched the fan favourites a decade ago, Kasabian sounds newer to me. Not the same old, same old.

FUUUUUUUUCCKKKKKK

Meier is right, fuck Michael Jackson, this is much worse :(

They were at the Man City game last weekend (at opposite ends of the stadium). They're too difficult to read, this come out of nowhere, yet I'm not surprised.

I'm just glad I got to see them at Heaton Park and Wembley in the last two months.

I can't see this being the end, Noel has walked out before, but his statement seems pretty definite. Whether he patches things up or does some solo work, the core and extended fan base won't just allow things to fade away.
Not even close....and I love Oasis.

I think the best quote I can put forth for this thread is:

"Please don't put your life in the hand of a rock and roll band who'll throw it all away".

I was at Rock en Seine tonight...just pure rubbish...

I'm not an Oasis fan but I like some of their songs and I was pleased to see them...

The gossip spread during 30 mins. In fact Kele from Bloc Pärty told the news about 3/4 an hour on the other stage before the Festival official. Anyway, Madness gig was fun...

I was just playing "Hello" by Oasis, and thought strangely the lyrics fit (for the first few verses)...and would love for them to play this again if they reunite.

The rivalry was dumb, Noel tried to apologise for his stupid badmouthing to Damon, he likes the guitarist Graham Coxon and even liked some Blur songs.

I let go of the feud and gave Blur a chance of sorts, I only know their hits, but some of that shit is good.

I am gutted, as the brits would say.

A lot of brits came to the festival, some of them were crying on the metro, some objects were smashed but there were no major incidents.

Oasis fanboys, please don't compare this inevitable break-up to the death of MJ.

We aren't saying it will mean anything to non-oasis fans, but to us Oasis fans it's a huge deal and don't tell us what we feel and if it's right or not.

You people like MJ, maybe we didn't, and we respected your right to be upset over it, let us have this.

has Oasis released anything in the past decade? They are such a relic of the '90..

Yes, they've been releasing albums since 1997 when people lost interest in them. They just weren't as good as their first three albums. Just cuz you fall short of excellence that doesn't make them bad, but they may not have been as great.

When bands have been going on for as long of 15 years and they may have only had 2 great records, people still remember and love them, no matter what decade they came from... but because it's Oasis, it's cool to pigeonhole them.

Seriously, these fucking ignorant comments are almost ban-worthy.

They just released their greatest critically acclaimed album in over a decade last fall. They also sold over 2 million copies of it... which is probably 1,999,000 more copies than whatever shithead indie band you're fantasizing about these days. Dig Out Your Soul was a great album and easily their best since 1995. Oh and .. gasp.. for all you people that think they're nothing but 3 chord wonders - they also threw in some Sitar and Keyboards on a few songs in DOYS.

Then how come we've never heard of them?

Gallagher regularly made derisive remarks about Americans, as well as his brother Noel, which led to an ultimatum from the guitarist who briefly left the band in 1994. When addressing their less than hysterical reception in the States (especially by comparison to the UK), Gallagher stated "Americans want grungy people, stabbing themselves in the head on stage. They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don't get it."

I was always quite fond of their musings

Oasis aren't fake and kissing ass, they are too real and crude for Americans to handle.

People can't like bands unless they kiss the asses of record producers and fans and release radio friendly shit all the time.

These guys wanna play rock n' roll and it's not hip or modern and insult people if they feel like it.

So yeah nothing like todays big bands.

Man, who saw that coming? I mean headstrong, egotistical rockstars didn't get along permanently? VH1 should do a series about it.
