Haven't done this in a few months since I was so out of gaming and focused on other things in that time. Probably will be laughably far off.

Did I participate last month? I forget.

[360] 332,000
[3DS] 115,000
[NDS] 142,000
[PS3] 246,000
[WII] 165,000

EDIT: Apparently I have. Corrected 360 prediction.

Can we Edit it till the deadline?

Yes. The data isn't collected until the deadline.

The PS3 BlOps bundle came out a the beginning of the June period, but 1) the game has already been out for 6+ months before the bundle and 2) the PS3 is much less likely to be affected by an old game being bundled at this point. The OoT release, however, is the first biggish release on a new system, and it was so low last month that even a small absolute difference would be a big deal. :lol

Was there any particular reason for last year's 360 / PS3 bump?

I don't see any massive games that were released.

360 slim and older sku price drop, not sure about ps3

Definitely think it will be the end of microsofts year on year growth

Did an optimistic prediction for the PS3 because of all the deals they've had on systems lately.

Time to work some magic.

[360] 323K
[3DS] 106K (yeah, Zelda on its own isn't going to salvage 3DS sales; probably got 3DS close to par with DS for a week but that's it)
[NDS] 205K
[PS3] 238K
[Wii] 411K (sales leader for the month despite NO games NO Xenoblade NO anything from Nintendo of America... but MUCHO Zumba Fitness)

I predicted a monster month for Wii when last month's NPD thread came out. Time to back up my words.

We don't have a software prediction thread any more so I'll just throw my expected Top 10 software titles below for kicks. I'll assume everything released in June except for inFAMOUS 2 bombed which will make it more fun and easy to crunch.

01. L.A. Noire (360, PS3)
02. Duke Nukem Forever (360, PS3, PC) (still a bomb relative to stupidly ludicrous pre-release expectations)
03. inFAMOUS 2 (PS3)
04. Zumba Fitness: Join the Party (Wii, 360, PS3)
05. Call of Duty: Black Ops (360, PS3, Wii, NDS, PC)
06. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
07. Portal 2 (360, PS3, PC)
08. Wii Fit Plus (Wii) (re-emerges due to the influx of new Wii owners)
09. Mortal Kombat 2011 (PS3, 360)
10. Just Dance 2 (Wii)

[WII] 300K
[NDS] 220K
[PS3] 215K
[3DS] 145K

3DS still well overpriced, but at least it has a game worth owning the system for now. Just needs a whole lot more of them (and a $50 price drop) to get normal people interested. :lol

They should have added a third 1D-screen at the bottom. The price wouldn't have mattered.

I'm just going to guess 3DS since it's the only real interesting item there being a new platform. With the Zelda remake coming out, if it didn't boost June sales by about 25% that's not good. I'm going to bid 125,000 for the 3DS Bob.

There are 5 weeks in June's NPD period compared to 4 weeks in May's NPD period. Therefore, a 25% total increase from May would mean that weekly sales were actually unchanged.
