The Jak and Daxter Collection features all three best-selling PlayStation 2 classic hits -- Jak and Daxter, Jak II and Jak 3 -- fully remastered in high definition and stereoscopic 3D. This collection follows fan-favorite Jak and his sidekick Daxter through a series of action-packed adventures. The Jak and Daxter Collection blends action, shooting, driving, and platforming into one complete PS3 package. .

JAK AND DAXTER: While exploring some ancient ruins on a forbidden island off the coast, Jak's best friend, Daxter, is knocked into a vat of Dark Eco--a terrifying and deadly substance that could corrupt the world forever -- transforming him into a weasel-like rodent. The village sage, Samos Hagai, tells Jak that there's only one person who holds the secrets to transforming Daxter back. Now the pair must set out on a quest in search of a wise old sage who has the power to restore Daxter to his former self.

JAK II: In this darker themed follow-up to Jak and Daxter, hero Jak tries to control the dark eco injected into his system and, with his sidekick Daxter, attempts to thwart the tyrannical powers ruining Haven City. Players earn the chance to wield four heavy-duty weapons, they can jack any vehicle in the massive open city, and they have a chance to use a jetboard to navigate special platform levels.

JAK III: Jak and his faithful companion Daxter are exiled to the unforgiving wasteland, where survival of the fittest is the law of the land. But deadly lands and dangerous creatures are only the beginning. Soon, the worst nightmare imaginable finds Jak's world, threatening to annihilate all life with eternal darkness... This third chapter offers an exciting new open world that stretches from the farthest reaches of the wasteland to the strife-torn heart of the city.

30fps in 3D mode? Smh. Not good enough.
I'd pay good money for a 60fps S3D version of the original Jak & Daxter in HD. Doesn't look we're getting anything like that.

Should've used "Jak Daxter of Mar" title or something, lol.

I couldnt think much regarding a title since im busy with twisted metal, since no one was creating a thread, i decided to make one.

If have any one has a nice thread title do tell it, im sure a mod would be kind enough to do the needful =)

When's the damn store update? I need to get my Jak 2 on. I'm more hyped to replay 2 and 3 then I was to pick up Reckoning today.

Been playing The Precursor Legacy today. So much fun. Headed to Misty Island next. Looking forward to playing these through in close succession. Never really did that before. Going to play Jak X on the PS2 after finishing these up. Thanks for making a thread!

C'mon man. $40 for three amazing games remastered in HD is a steal. The $40 price tag is hardly news too.

$15 apiece on the PSN is even still a great deal- where's the sense of entitlement coming from? The only reason I'd hold out is if you have a pile of shame to play through, or you're waiting for a PS Plus discount.

Keep hope alive! If you platinum all 3 Sly games in the collection there was a Sly 4 trailer. Maybe they'll do the same here :p

If I buy all 3 games again, I hope it rejuvenates interest for Jak 4, a reboot where you play a young, mute Jak who is going on adventures in a world that feels natural yet like a fairy tale, and instead of concentrating on grittiness and vehicle combat.

Jak and Daxter >> Jak 3 >> Jak 2.

We need more platformer games like SM 64 with modern make-up.

this is a good price.
$40 for 3 great games is a bad thing?

It was said in a news that it will release on Vita later

Now that is a reason to pass on this (for now, anyway). I wonder if there will ever be a true PS2 emulator on the Vita, one that plays the ISOs like PSone on PSP. With this & MGS getting ported down the line, it's seeming a bit less likely... but I'm not complaining (yet.

Maybe there'll be some sort of incentive/bundle later down the line for these HD collections on Vita & PS3? Too many scenarios to think of.

Waiting for a price drop is only going to hurt the chances of Jak 4 existing, lol.

jak 4 was canned for that new naughty dog game

Who says Naughty Dog will make it? They obviously don't know what Jak & Daxter is based on that thread so it's probably for the best.

I paid $70 for Jak1 when it first came out. You can get two more games, in better resolution, for $30 less. Gaming is dead.

Will check it out if it comes on the Vita, these HD games need to come out on the Vita. I am planning to get MGS HD Collection and Strangers Wrath HD on the Vita.

Never played any of the three games, so I'll definitely pick this up when it drops in price a bit.

So for someone who hasn't played Jak & Daxter ( I know, shoot me ). Would you guys recommend these games?

I was excited when they announced this because I every HD collection I can think of was done partially to support another installment (God of War Collection with GOWIII, Sly Collection with Sly 4, Ico Collection with TLG, DMC Collection with the reboot, Silent Hill Collection with Downpour, the list just goes on and on).

Unfortunately there will be no Jak 4, at least not any time soon. So I'll pick this up later when there's nothing else coming out (Twisted Metal next week!)

I thought GAF thought the Jak games were garbage.*

* Going by all the most improved developer threads where tons of people listed Naughty Dog.

More like how Jak 2 and 3 were gaming bliss... but they sort of dropped the ball with UC1 minus the graphics. The jump from UC1 to UC2 was what got everyone's attention.

Will pick it up probably later this week. Really wanna check out Jak 1 and hope I can get through Jak 2 and 3. Remember 3 being quite difficult

Gonna grab the collection tomorrow. Relive some memories of the first then I'll finally get to those sequels that have somehow alluded me all these years.

I'm pretty terrified from what I hear about Jak II's difficulty though...
