NSMB2 E-shop/retail dual release

good to see them expanding their digital offerings

but no way i'm downloading given how well the other new super mario bros games have retained their value.

Nintendo taking steps forward. This is interesting, especially with the WiiU looming. Will they offer similar setups for more titles?

So people ... the 2d platformer finaly is released as a download title. HAPPY NOW ? =P

Probably will get the download version because I can pay in dolars ..

edit :

Wait ... didn't understood the last part .. it will not be on eshop ?

Huh. This surprised me a little. I know they've been working towards this lately, but I thought they'd leave that to third parties in the beginning. This is a pretty huge step for Ninty, although way later than it should've happened.

I'll probably get the retail release myself though. I like to have games on shelves.

So you can download your cart on your system and play without the card.

Nintendo putting full games on eshop? I'm so confused.

Digital should be $10 cheaper, but it won't.

I'm getting physical either way, due to being a collector and also not being tied to a system if I get the 3DS revision.

Surprised it is so soom, but unless they're rolling out an account based system for 3DS like they are with WiiU, it'd be tied to a specific 3DS. Maybe they'll work out something.

Don't care about price, will vote with my proverbial e-wallet to show Nintendo that we gives a fuck (GAF lol) about interesting digital content.

WiiWare is mired in shitty games that I wouldn't spend more than five minutes playing in a browser, let alone a $10 title. I know there's storage limitations, but I've listened to enough Giant Bombcasts to know that WiiWare is filled but nothing but half-baked feces.

The 3DS eShop is off to a great start, though. Shitty VC release schedule aside, it has the goods.

Nintendo and competent online distribution? Prepare your bunkers, the Mayans were right.

Don't know which one to grab, now.

Sounds like all Wii U games will be available for download.

The hassle of Sunday releases will be a thing of the past, assuming they dont adopt the market standard of one day for digital release.

Probably still get the box, So much digital stuff they have on 3DS that I think everyone must be out of space on the SD card that was included?

Yes! Say goodbye to overprincing in this country. (Argentina)

I'm going with the download option day one. I should buy a second 3DS and support this even more...

With the way that Nintendo is handling DD in the future, it could mean we'll see apps from different retailers (Gamestop, Steam, Origin, etc) on Wii-U.

Retail for me. I will always, always, always buy physical over digital when given the chance. Absolutely no exceptions. Higher price be damned, as well.

And thank god that Nintendo went against using proprietary memory cards for the 3DS. That makes it much more appealing to buy games from the eShop.

Great step for Nintendo! I hope to see they do this more often in the future.
Now I can't decide whether to buy it on retail or download. Most 3DS games in my country retail for approximately $53 USD(with particular retailers, which are cheaper than specialized stores) so, even if the game is $40 USD at the eShop (and that's not happening) it would be a big win for me. There's also the portability (having it with you everywhere). The bad thing is that I won't be able to share the cartridge with my sister, though, and the feeling of not having it physically is not same.

Now we just need a Nintendo account of sorts to rest assured that our games arent just contained on the one system..
