My brother just released his first album “Legend of a Journey”

So, my brother just released his first rap album “Legend of a Journey” which is something that he has been working on for the past few years. Everything is self-produced; from the lyrics to the beats.

He started on this when he was 16 and has been working on it since then. All music mixing was done through FL Studio and Audacity and there’s even a bit of live guitar work in the song “Fly Away”.

He’s also working on a few music videos (again, all self-produced) and will be releasing songs as they are available. He’s prepping the first one for a release tonight.

He does not have an account here but I’ll send him a link and he’ll be checking this thread for feedback and I can relay it back and forth. Not so sure what the schedule will be.

I’m pretty excited by this release but don’t really know how to build up hype for a release. If anyone has suggestions for this we are all ears

Edit: Okay I listened to one of the song..OP I'm going to be nice..Your brother needs a new career. He sucks at rapping..my 1 yr old son who can't even talk yet is better at rapping than him.

I can't stop listening to this. It's not good but I could make it awesome by adding a ton of bad sounding saxophone synths all over every track and like samples of dogs fighting and car crash sound effects.

Anyway, I made it 5 seconds into the vocals. Only reason I lasted that long was I wasn't sure what I was hearing.

Seriously the way this is mixed it sounds like the dude is being really annoying and loud in your ear and you're trying to get away but he just keeps talking about his troubles.

The vocals are disappointing. Maybe they are well written, but I don't think your brother is a right fit for a singer.

On the positive, I found the beats to be kind of nice.

I liked the intro to Fly Away. Talk to your brother about seeing a voice coach, it can do a lot to help improve his music.

Put some really fucked up distortion on the vocals and drop it low in the mix and you will have some good ambient stuff maybe.

he sounds like he needs to take a shit. and his flow is horrible. he sounds like he is trying to be Subtle (the band, not a mood)
