Dragon's Crown will be the Vita's killer app and the only game to rip me away from Last of Us multiplayer on PS3. Only one more month to go.

Is the Vita regionlocked or can I import it to yurop?

Atlus confirmed on Twitter a while back that the game is region-free, so there should be no problem. Since there's no European release announced yet, I'd say just go ahead and import it if you're interested in the game.

Note, though, that Vita memory cards are region-locked...or so I've read. Not sure how that would affect the game, though, as I don't have a Vita yet myself.

That video was pretty nice. They mentioned the Amazon plays kind of like a fighting game character which is the impression I got from previous gameplay trailers.

I'm looking forward to the eventual combo videos with each class.

Not watching any more footage. Want to go in as blind as possible (starting now of course which is a little fecking late).

Account bound so dlc won't work, everything else is fine.
Going to import this myself.

キタ━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━ッ

Looking forward to Elf and Wizard. Not that interested in the others.

That's was a decent introduction video for the first day. I'm assuming the content we'll get for the other 4 remaining days, it will also be done with videos too?

Sounds like Amazon might be gimped by her lack of constitution. The video guy didn't say she clearly out damages the other two melee characters either so what is her strength exactly?

lol at the sorceress run

Speed is her advantage compared to the other melee characters.

Dat sorceress run animation.

Still, I will be rolling Elf on Day 1!

Interesting that character classes are classified as being for normal or expert players; for some reason it sounds annoying. I guess they didn't want everyone buying the game to pick the wizard or other low constitution class, then return the game because it was too difficult or something. Is anyone rethinking their first class pick after watching this?

Even when she's just channeling a spell, the sorceress continuously jiggles. Ridiculous...no complaints, mind you.

Having trouble deciding who I want to play as. I usually gravitate towards tank types, but the amazon and elf look really fun.

sounds cool, though as i am getting more and more information about the game, and getting more and more excited about it in general... I am also getting more and more depressed about the idea of how the average gamer will likely hold off on buying it until it gets cheap because it "should have been a $15 PSN release" even though it has at least a 20 hour story (it was said 20 hours per character, but I was never able to figure out if the characters had a decently unique story or not from that info, if they do that would be a 120 hour story @_@)

hopefully the game is half as brilliant as it appears to be, and gets great reviews and can actually move a decent number of units.

The funny part is, in the reveal of how long the game is with each character, people were complaining that it's too much game.

I doubt each character has a fully unique story-- probably mostly a one-size fits all story with a few key points where your class makes a difference. I'd love to be wrong though.

Day 1 regardless

yeah I saw that too, I just laughed at it as if the combat is at least as good as something like scott pilgrim vs the world (and it looks much better in dragon's crown) 20 hours will go by quickly for me.

as for each character having a fully unique story, well with your average developer I wouldn't think it would be that way, but vanilliaware's past history points towards that being a very real possibility, as both muramasa and odin's sphere had unique stories for each of the characters.

but yeah I have had my ps3 preorder of the game for a long time. just working on getting some of my friends on board as well at this point lol.

The guy talks about not being easy to tell if you're on the same plane as enemies, but any time he missed his attacks the shadows (player and enemy) didn't line up, really noticeable on the spider as he moves away from it's shadow to attack. So to me it seems paying attention to shadows will help for the most part in that area, unless you're in a dark location.

Though I do like how you can change movement between Dpad and left stick, I'll definitely be doing that since I always prefer Dpad movement in 2D games.

Yeah, same here. Hopefully item management with the stick won't be too weird. Hah.
I'll just hope it's a left/right kind of thing, similar to how the left and right shoulder buttons scrolled through your items in Castle Crashers, so all that'd be needed is just tapping left or right on the analog stick and pressing one of the face buttons to use the item.

This fucking game.

Hnnngggg.

Torn between PS3/Vita..but I'm leaning more towards PS3. This game deserves to be in 1080P on the big screen. Also deserves to be on a sexy OLED too.

FUCK

PS3 version for me, because of local coop and Vita version when it's cheaper.

If I had a Vita I'd have both versions pre-ordered. PS3 version for multiplayer, Vita version for leveling up away from home/in bed via cloud save on dat OLED.

Try to see the glass half full: every single person you'll meet playing Dragon's Crown is a person that happily paid 50$ for it. You're bound to have more in common with them.

Shadow aligning is probably not an instinct/skill that a lot of people have nowadays, particularly after years upon years of sidescrolling beat'em up drought. I picked it back with the Mystara collection.

Me too, particularly if there's double-tap-dashing.

However, I really do hope you can also bind item select to buttons. Not only does it seem much more natural on triggers (and I find it hard to believe all four are taken up with other stuff), forcing you to use both d-pad and analog stick means nobody can play with an arcade stick (searching, bound to right analog, is alrealy hampered, but I'm assuming as long as someone can search, it's ok).
