‘South Park: The Stick of Truth’ hands Ubisoft their first All Formats No1 of 2014, stealing top spot from Square’s ‘Thief’ (-48%), which has to settle for No2.

53% of South Park sales were on Xbox 360, 41% on PS3 and 6% on PC. It’s the first RPG to debut at No1 since ‘Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch’ back in W5 2013. Along with ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ it is the only Top 10 title this week not to have been released on a current-gen format (PS4/Xbox One). All Top 10 titles drop sales this week, but sales of ‘Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare’ only slip by 1%, pushing it from No4 to No3 in its second week of release. Lego is still well represented in the All Formats Top 40 with 5 titles, headed by ‘the Lego Movie Videogame’ (-31%) down 2 places to No4 and ‘Lego Marvel Super Heroes’ (-24%), also down 2 places to No9. ‘FIFA 14’ (-21%) drops 2 places to No5, but hasn’t ever been outside the Top 5 since it was released 24 weeks ago.
‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ (-23%) is not so lucky, falling outside the Top 5 for the first time, down from No5 to No6. ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ (-3%) is up one place to No7, ahead of ‘Battlefield 4’ (-29%) at No8. ‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ (-16%) hasn’t ever fallen outside the Top 10 and manages to hang on this week despite a drop from No9 to No10. The only other new release to make the All Formats Top 40 is Bandai Namco’s ‘Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures’ which debuts at No21.

Ubisoft losing a lot of money with lack of SP:SoT for next gen. Porting this game would be very easy and cheap.

6% on PC and it's in the top 20? Holy crap, how much is it selling exactly?

Ubisoft losing a lot of money with lack of SP:SoT for next gen. Porting this game would be very easy and cheap.

At this point, DLCs and a definitive edition for next-gen seem like a no-brainer.

Just noticed Luigi's Mansion 2 bobbling around in the top 10 for Italy. Has it been there or therabouts since launch?

Is there a point to porting it? It's not a game that really strikes me as benefitting from a visual upgrade...

Does this count the bundled copies of XBO FIFA 14 and Forza in the UK? XBO software doing better than PS4 besides Thief at the moment.

The tide is turning... green. Sony better slash prices immediately to stand any chance going forward.

Oh come on, it's stock issues rather than demand.

GAME has consoles but the cheapest PS4 bundle is £460. Argos did get some stock before the weekend, but that's about it really. Not been on Amazon since early February.

It's not about benefits but availability. Other sales show that people really want to buy games for their new consoles. I don't believe Thief would be so high if not released in a draught. Also Tomb Raider sold well on next gen despite being dirt cheap or free with last gen. I think any game released now for next gen gets more attention than it would a year ago.

Really surprised at the overal Xbone dominance over the PS4 this week. I wonder if the PS4 is still quite stock restrained?

Good to see Donkey Kong in the charts for a third week in a row, seems to be holding strong in France too.

Yeah, and I´d even go so far as to say that Thief XB1 being in the Top5 in France and Italy supports this argument.

The more competitive next gen landscape should be all the evidence MS needs to cut the price in the US.

Plants vs Zombies didn't have much hype, but it's holding strong.

And Aliens...I mean, if you wanted a squad based shooter on the cheap, Gears 3 or Gears Judgement are much better choices, no?

It's not the price that's the problem. It's almost impossible to find a PS4 in the UK right now.

Everywhere has XBO stock here. Even Argos (Who are infamous for always being out of stock for consoles).

Except it only really benefits people who ditched their previous console when buying into the next generation. Which suggests - to me, at least - that those people are more graphics-driven than most, and so wouldn't necessarily be interested in a (relatively!) basic-looking title.

Big drops in PS4 software. Xbox one games generally are cheaper and this is having a effect in the charts already.

Donkey kong dropping like a rock.

Nah, whenever PS4 is available, the console as well as the software shoot to the top of the charts. It's back in stock on Amazon on march 25th but it's also getting an inFamous bundle.

Price cut on XB1 seems to have helped. Fifa 14 for XBO finally sold more than on PS4 although LTD I'm sure is more on PS4

PS4's stock position in the UK is most likely not helping its software sales though

No German charts this week?

Should be boring, though. South Park isn't out here.
Top2:

01 (48) Need For Speed: Rivals (PlayStation 3)
02 (12) Diablo III (PC/Mac)

Reason: MediaMarkt had a 3 games for 50€ sale.
