I'm ignorant and don't know which series comes from which magazine (aside WSJ)

And since as the ignorant i am I only read the most mainstream stuff so obviously i'm gonna say WSJ.

Same here, I don't have a clue what's in what out side of wsj.

I only know what's in jump thanks to jump superstar ds games published Nintendo on ds a few years back.

Do theses other magazines have there own smash broses style video games?

Only currently running series:

Weekly Shonen Jump

Beelzebub, Bleach, Gintama, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, Nisekoi, One Piece, Shokugeki no Soma, Toriko. Quality varies hard.

Weekly Shonen Magazine

Fairy Tail because I'm an idiot and Hajime no Ippo because I've already read 1000+ chapters and it still has moments of greatness.

Weekly Shonen Sunday

Only Magi currently. Will start TWGOK and Rin-ne eventually. Conan is a chore to go through because of ~600 of terrible translations.

Weekly Young Jump

Kingdom, Liar Game and Real for real. Terra Formars because it's dumb as hell (although they've been toning it down lately ;_;).

I read Claymore (trash) and Ao no Exorcist (alright). D.Gray-man is decent judging by the anime.

Shonen Gangan

This has nothing that interests me as far as I can tell.

Young Gangan

Übel Blatt and Until Death Do Us Part when I'm in the mood.

Gangan JOKER

Akame ga Kill for the death flags.

Comic X-Eros (just trying to accommodate those peeps)
Comic Kairakuten (gotta have equality here)
Comic Shitsurakuten (and a pyramid)

I know none of these.

So yeah, in quantity WSJ but as far as quality goes I'm in the WYJ camp.

When did mangaupdates start using Shuukan Shounen Jump instead of Weekly Shonen Jump? I thought they usually avoided weebing it up like that.

Only ones I really care about is hxh,one piece, hajime no ippo, toriko, berserk and jojo that are still running.

Still care about naruto and bleach for some strange reason and half care about attack on titan and magi.

Only ones not jump are ippo, titan and magi.

I don't deserve you kindness panda-san but i'm fairly sure that neither FMA and Berserk are not part of WSJ.
Is this your 2014 brainfart? I'll assist you though don't worry.

Neither is Attack on Titan. smh upandaways

Young Animal seems to have Berserk (sometimes) and underfed, underage models.

Shinigami-sama to 4-nin no Kanojo 1-6
Well this is interesting, he's dating a possibly perverted class president, a sadist idol, a neet tsundere rich girl and it appears the 4th girl is a yandere. There also seems to be a lot of poking fun at manga tropes so it seems to be a fun ride for however long it is

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
You guys do realize that Minamoto-kun garbage is in the same magazine as Kingdom and Terra Formars correct?

Juuuust saying.

Cloth Road 1-13

Nice art, nice world and a nice start to the series. I was beginning to wonder why I hadn't heard of it earlier. And then the author decided to do this page?

It's just plain wierd yo, considering the art style.

Cloth Road is awesome and hits in the feels here and there. Considering the art style, you'll see even weirder stuff going forward, but damn if it's not a good looking type of weird.

This pose is extremely familiar... i like its stupidity.
The matches are unexpectedly fast.

I guess we've held ourselves from doing this long enough, and this is as good a time as any to sit down and finally divide everyone here by favorite magazines. Smut is also represented. Choose whatever you want but here's some kind of list for formality's sake:

My favorites great artists and writers.

Comic Zero-Sum (Angel Clock, JOKE:ЯR'S, Karneval, Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist , Loveless, Strange Plus)
JUMP SQ (Fantasma, BLue Exorcist, Seraph of the End, Twin Star Exorcists, Tegami Bachi)
ARIA (No. 6, K Memory of Red, K Days of Blue, Shingeki no Kyojin - The Birth of Levi)
Drap (Vanilla Resort, Otona Keikenchi, Otokogokoro , Mazu wa, Hitokuchi., Mousou Elektel )
Dear+ (Ten Count, Soredemo Kamawanai, Tight Rope)
Gateau (Stay Gold, Kanemochi-kun to Binbou-kun , Negative-kun to Positive-kun)

Someone needs to translate that new Cuvie manga of which I didn't know the existence until today. I love her works, both porn and normal. A ballet manga with her art can't be anything less than awesome.

My favourite thing about Cuvie is people thinking Cuvie only does vanilla stories, oh the delicious sweet rage :D I'm still kinda baffled why they are reprinting A Witch in Love though... unless I got something wrong :/

Oh btw. I just remember, don't know if you noticed her twitter bg:

Goddam. How many tanks are out?

shokugeki is like, the only thing left in wsj worth caring about anymore. shit mag

I'd hate to say it, but I feel the same way. Except I do read One Piece along with Shokugeki. I used to read Beelzebub but we all know what's happening with that. I like Gintama but I prefer watching the anime over the manga. I could never get into Toriko.

Wish someone would translate Saiki since I enjoyed it, but it hasn't been translated in years.

I read like half of the current WSJ series.
One Piece, AssClass, Beelzebub, Haikyu!!, HxH (lol), Nisekoi, Saiki, Soma, Toriko.

Manga Times has Nobunaga no Chef.
Big Comic Spirits has Punpun and I Am a Hero.
Grand Jump Premium has Dr.DMAT.
Young Jump has REAL, Liar Game and Kokou no Hito.

Too lazy to continue.

Iron Maiden

Holy shit. Even I wouldn't have called Nishina being basically Makoto from School Days but willing to stoop to rape.

Oh and a little bonus, from Blood Alone's author, I feel bad for him since Evening ditched his series, it already had one publisher change. Maybe this means Seven Seas can license it now? Anyhow, he spammed a bunch of Chronos Haze illustrations:

https://twitter.com/masayuki_takano/status/433959591433347072 he tweets a lot of sketches.

Baby Steps

If every single game takes this long, this tournament will go into the Chapter 400 range.

Screaming Lessons cover gonna Screaming Lessons cover.

If I had to pick a magazine (past and present combined), it'd be Gangan Joker. Book Girl and the Suicidal Mime, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and Prunus Girl are some of my favourite series. Arachnid and Shitsurakuen are great reads. Eighth is pretty decent. In terms of stuff I haven't checked out yet, Book Girl and the Famished Spirit will doubtlessly be excellent. Shinigami-sama to 4-nin no Kanojo looks highly relevant to my interests, as (to a lesser extent) do Wa! and Akame ga Kill!

Favorite magazines

Afternoon (Eden, Genshiken, various stuff by Hitoshi Ashinano)
Big Comic Spirits (Bambino, various stuff by Junji Itou, Hideout, Punpun)
Comic Bunch (various stuff by Mizu Sahara)
Comic Ryu (A Centaur's Life, Monster Musume, Wandering Emanon)
Evening (All Rounder Meguru, Blood Alone, )
Fellows/harta (Gisèle Alain, Otoyomegatari, Ran and the Gray World, Swagamoto)
Gangan Joker (Akame ga Kiru, Prunus Girl, Yandere Kanojo)
Gessan (Hitoribocchi no Chikyuu Shinryaku, Mix, Tetsugaku Letra)
Morning (Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Space Bros, Tetsuwan Girl, Vagabond)
Weekly Shounen Jump (well duh)
Weekly Shounen Sunday (all of the Adachi manga alone would make this one of my favorite magazines ever but there were and are other good series as well like Silver Spoon or Yakitate Japan)
Weekly Shounen Magazine (my least favorite of the Big 3 weekly shounen mags, at least it has Baby Steps, Nanatsu no Taizai and Yamada)
Young Ace (Evangelion, Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki, Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha.)
Young Animal (Berserk, March Comes in Like a Lion)
Young King Ours (Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer)

I'm not well versed enough in the hentai business but I like COMIC LO the best based on the covers alone.

I have no clue what anything I read is serialized in because I don't speak or read Japanese.
