I know this ain't exactly a tech support thread, but I'm having serious performance issues on PC, so I wanted to see if anyone knew a fix.

My PC is a laptop with:
-GTX460M
-i7-2630QM
-8gb RAM
-Windows 7

It's not the best thing ever, but it should be more than capable of running this game. I'm getting 30 FPS max at all times with the settings at minimum, and with everything turned up I get like 20 FPS. I don't get it, how could this not be running at 60 on lowest settings? I should be able to AT LEAST get 60 on rec settings, right?

How do you play borderless windowed? I tried some launch command argument in Origin, but the controls went all funky in game.

Biggest couple things I've seen people miss, especially with laptops, is

1) Make sure the NVIDIA GPU is in use when playing. If you're using the integrated Intel GPU by accident you'll get massively lower performance
2) Update to latest drivers

That machine should be able to play with lower details at 60fps most of the time...

Have you played it yet? Yes, the free running is definitely not CoD. Core gameplay IS CoD through and through. Come back at me and fill me in on how differently it plays, once you've actually played it.

I'm extremely interested in hearing your opinion. Other than the gunplay, which is only one aspect of Call of Duty and Titanfall, what other similarities do they share that make it so COD "through and through". I really feel like people who are saying this are playing the game like COD and then complaining about it.

Ohh I get what you mean now (its late and I haven't had a my coke/caffeine fix ), I thought you meant the things like the dot sites not being seen.

So with iron sights you get a cross hair and with any other site you don't? - perhaps its a bug?.

Don't know what's going on, but my computer has way better specs than that and I'm getting pretty much similar perfomance. At 1080p with all lowest settings I'm in the 15-20fps range. At 720p, lowest settings also, I'm at low 20s to 30fps.

Specs for comparison:
i7-4700mq
SLI 750m
8gb ram
Win8.1

I've read of computer with lower specs than mine running A LOT smoother, so I don't know what's going on.

The bots are insanely stupid, it's easy to take them 1v5 and come out on top. It's not satisfying in any way to engage them yet it's a core element of the game.

You can see the mode coming a mile away - I hope they don't put it behind a DLC pack. The titans (heroes) and AI solders (creeps) just scream out - FPS MOBA mode.

They're supposed to be stupid. Like in a MOBA. They're just to feed you and keep the pace of the battle going.

The battles feel so large and epic because of them, but don't feel chaotic because they're so easy to kill. The flow they add as you chain kills and speed up your Titanfall along with the movement makes the game feel tremendously fluid. It has the most amount of awesome moments per minute I've ever experienced in an MP FPS.

It's just a genius idea. I hope the final game has enough content to keep me happy, but the foundation is just incredible.

You're missing the point if you think they should be harder.

i think so, yeah. i just know when i unlocked the other siights now i cant see anything when i ADS cloaked. no cross hair, no dot, no nuthin

yeah, that's the point. they're fodder that, at worst, will slow you down if there are too many around and you're forced to deal with them. I wouldn't recommend executing them in most cases. since the neck snap animation will leave you exposed for longer than you need to be.

Why do people feel the bots need to be challenging? If they could kill people it would kinda break the flow of the game. I think its perfect as it is, and they serve their purpose well.

I hope you're right. Something like Monday Night Combat -- which WAS essentially a shooter MOBA (third-person though, not first-person) would be really cool. They'd have to drastically change the game for it to work, though, especially with the AI in its current state. I just don't see it happening. It's one of those, "I have to see it to believe it" types of things.

I didnt record my strider match and my strider lasted all the way until the epilogue (which we destroyed their helichopper). I got a bad habit of never recording anything good.

No, you can press a key (Y on an Xbox controller, dunno what it is on PC) when you're in the dropship before the match starts and pick a card.

I'm ok with that. It actually makes playing fun even when getting demolished. I think it will help keep people from quitting out of games too because they won't feel like they're getting shit on when losing.

I had two atlases shooting at me on both sides and I activated my unlimited dash core and got the fuck out of there with a sliver of health to recharge my shield. It was so funny because I bugged out so fast.

Having more fun today than yesterday.

The smart pistol feels really OP. It takes a bit longer to kill than a carbine in a 1v1 but you can jump and hop around like crazy while locking on and destroy creeps with ease.

Then there's the burn card smart pistol, damn is that thing fine. 2 lock ons for a kill is insane.

No I died on foot at the end being an idiot and ruined my perfect run. Instead of picking a good spot, I stood right infront of the takeoff ship. So of course the guy comes running up and hauls ass right through me. The other titans blew it up anyways.

The issue is that you can't take them all out so easily with any other weapon, and the smart pistol isn't that much worse than any other weapon for pilot vs. pilot.

Has anyone else had the "Spare Stryder" burn card yet?

I got one earlier (you can call a Stryder in as your Titan). Didn't really feel any different in movement that I could tell, **Actually, only just noticed I could have had unlimited dash....Handy!

The cockpit view is different, too.

Tue enough, but that does sometimes spread your shots should your enemy be in a pile of bots, .it does go both ways.

You can call in an Ogre too one of my first burn cards.

Been playing it for 3 hours. I've played a ton of Call of Duty and this feels nothing like it.

It's slightly better at speeding up Titanfall.
It has shitty range.
