What was Double D Dodgeball rated? It would be weird to have an M rated dodgeball game.
Think I'll be alone on this but I'm hoping that is true as I've been hankering after a Breakout clone on XBLA.The second game - Block Breaker Deluxe - is pure speculation. It's a game made by GameLoft for Mobile Phones, iPods as well as PC, and is essentially a clone of Breakout or Arkanoid. However, it hasn't been rated before this, and I don't believe iPod or Mobile games have required ratings before either. At the same time, their previous game - Brain Challenge - at least mentioned Microsoft, while this one does not. Keep a look out though!

I can confirm that we have two new titles in the works for digital-publishing on XBLA and one pencilled in for PSN (subject to that being OK'd). We expect all 3 will be very well received and there to be much street-dancing and merriment in general. One is slated for late 2008 and the other stuff in 2009. No details as yet to tease you with, but watch this and several new URL's for more in the coming weeks.

Nope. We've seen those achievements months ago already.Skilotonn said:Oooooooo - Achievements for Ikaruga means that it's only a matter of time before it's out!

I'd say it's a virtual certainty that one of these games will be derived from the fantastic Worms: Open Warfare 2 for DS and PSP (XBLA Worms was ported from PSN Worms Open Warfare). And that's great fucking news.
Rlan said:But the XBLA doesn't NEED another Worms game. Outside of the wacky weaponry it was all there, and it was already damn awesome.
DarkAngelYuna said:I didn't want to start a new thread to ask this soo.. because of wow addiction I haven't played my 360 much over the past 6 months. Are there any must have arcade titles I've missed that I should look into? I'm interested in worms, but are there many people online playing or will I never find anyone to connect to?
Not to mention that if you're trying to be honest and avoid boosting, "consecutive" achievements suck ass because of quitters and the nature of the internet (ultra-laggy matches, connection drops, etc). How developers haven't realized things like this, years into the achievement phenomenon, is mindblowing.Princess Skittles said:Seconded. And thirded.
All this does in promote boosting.
Those would be perfectly fine if they weren't "consecutive."
They're fine, if stupidly easy. They match the games well, though, I thought.Rlan said:The Pac Man CE achievements worked very nicely and were actually achievable with a bit of work. I think Dig Dug was reasonable too - were the New Rally X and Ms. Pac Mans the same?
Seriously. There is no excuse for releasing a Worms game with half the weapons gone and a broken ninja rope.Psychotext said:Worms needed to be Worms Armageddon or Worms World Party. =(
What, definitely not?Shard said:No, no Ikaruga next week.
Jonnyram said:Seriously, those Mr. Driller achievements are insane... even the single player stuff looks hard. 5000M? :O
I assume there'll be some power up system where you can buy upgrades and you're allowed to use them? Otherwise anything beyond 2000M will be a real headache. The consecutive ones are a joke though
What, definitely not?

Feeding Frenzy 2 Details. You Hungry?
POSTED BY Shane "sedington86" Edington on Mar 21
So sneaking out of the woodwork we managed to get some details on the upcoming hit Feeding Frenzy 2 for the XBLA, coming soon. It includes all the stuff that comes with the PC version, plus an XBLA exclusive party mode. If that doesnt get you excited in itself, just go check the purchase price for the PC version .lets just say its more than we will be paying.
The party modes are a Mini-Game Frenzy, with a list a picked out mini-games you play through, and the Tournament Party. The Tournament Party is what looks like the longer series of mini-games where you compete for trophies to see who truly is the bigger fish of the sea. In both modes you earn what are called Party Points, which will help your bragging rights even more as you climb up the new Party Leaderboard. The co-op and Party mode is local-multiplayer only, sadly, but the normal multiplayer is still online. Some official speak is as follows.
Feeding Frenzy 2 for XBLA features include:
· A bigger-and more challenging single-player story mode, featuring over 60 new levels with bosses and mini-bosses for an even greater challenge!
· New moves, power-ups and more freeze enemies, stop time, play at night even jump out of the water to eat bugs!
· Experience frenzied fish-eating action with up to 4 friends in the all-new XBLA-exclusive multiplayer party mode, featuring 10 new mini-games!
· Experience Story Mode with a friend for the first time with Feeding Frenzy 2s new co-op mode
· All-new Kids Mode lets families experience Feeding Frenzy 2s story mode without the pressure of losing lives
· High-definition graphics and 5.1 surround sound create a more immersive experience
Cool. I'm not much of a board guy, but I played this at a friend's house a while back and had a lot of fun with it. I'll probably pick it up if the price is fair.Rlan said:Alright you board game geeks - USK update with TICKET TO RIDE!!

It's a good game, will get that patch later today as the tearing spoilt an otherwise beautiful game.Rlan said:I started playing Switchball again today - since I only had a few levels left to go - and I was prompted to a patch! I don't think this was ever announced.
It seems to fix the Leaderboards (though admittedly.. very empty since they would have been reset. You can scroll the amount of players on the Multiplayer Leaderboards) but it APPEARS to fix the Screen Tearing issued that the game originally had.
I don't think it was announced - and Atomic Elbow's site seems to be down, but it's great! Go download it if you weren't into the XBLA back in.. November. Or if you were put off by the tearing.

The basic premise behind Lost Cities works something like this: you face off with an opponent, a deck with sixty cards between you, representing five different regions or colors. So twelve cards per. There are two kinds of cards in the deck; Expedition Cards which number two through ten and come in one of the five different colors and Investment Cards of which there are three for each suit and are represented by a little handshake icon instead of a number. Between the two of you is a board with five areas, one for each of the colors. These are the Lost Cities you are exploring. Keep in mind though, the games whole adventurer/explorer theme, while nicely done, is just window dressing. The cards are where its at.
Youre dealt eight cards and you will always have eight cards whenever you play one you must replace it off the deck or with one of your opponents discards. Whomever has the highest score when all the cards have been taken out of the deck wins. So how do you earn points? Each of the cities starts out at zero for you. Once you play an expedition card on to one of the cities, you automatically lose twenty points. Thats the cost of starting your exploration. Of course, the value of the card you played is deducted against that right away, so say you start out playing the white five, the score for the white city is minus fifteen. Playing more cards keeps chipping away at that score, eventually getting you into the positive column. You can only play a higher value card on top of another card, but they dont have to be in perfect numerical order. But say you play a blue seven and the card you draw from the deck right afterwards is the blue five, youll never be able to play that blue five or anything lower than the blue seven. You can discard that blue five, but make sure it cant help your opponent.
Investment cards are another thing entirely. You can only play them before you play the numbered cards, but they multiply the value of the expedition cards you play on top of them. Unfortunately they also multiply the deficit you suffer from exploring each city. The risk/reward ration on those is high. It may sound complicated in a long-winded description like this, but I guarantee youll have it down after playing the tutorial once.
Learning your own strategies for getting the max amount of points out of your own hand is only half the battle though. You have to consider the other guy though, and Lost Cities gives you three difficulty levels of A.I. to play against. Theres also four player mode available over Live, with support for Xbox Live Vision, as well as the usual leaderboards and achievements. Theres also some nice unlockable art for you to explore. Whoops, made a little pun there.
Lost Cities will be available on Xbox Live Arcade this Spring for 800 points.
Confirmed. Just tried out a level in each environment and couldn't notice any screen tearing. Doesn't look like they had to downgrade their textures or their framerate either. Have yet to try the multiplayer though and I wonder if the leaderboards only show the first 100 players.Psychotext said:Just played Switchball... it downloaded an update for the trial and yes, it would appear that the tearing is fixed. Another Sierra title? I love their support. I'm afraid XBLA might lose its biggest supporter now that Activision seems to be shaking them up though.Shard said:Team Xbox presents former underground XBLA game Lost Cities, FIrst Preview and images
