The ending is on dailymotion.
Yeah it's making the rounds now online. No idea what the fuss was about by all the "journalists". Having seen it I really think it should've been playable in parts.

Not encountered any yet, will let ya guys know if I see any
I have been trying to play through the game through different play styles, so I encountered a random guard patrol while I was hiding out on the roof, when I used my binoculars to listen in to the conversation they said something about heading out to the west end of the camp...Now I dont know if this was scripted in that manner or was it random given the open world nature of the game
The other interesting thing I noticed was there is a lot of backstory of the game which is hidden in the tape recorders, each of them are around 1:29 and can be played while playing through the game, so instead of lengthy cutscenes telling you about the story this is a different way to tell a story
One thing I was a little disappointed in the game was that there are a number of buildings/huts in the game, sadly you cant enter any one of them...
Usual hyped up bullshit. Ending was good, but nowhere near as shocking as they claimed.
Not even shocking really. You can't build a climax with that little amount of story.
It's more limited, especially compared to what we're being told Phantom Pain will be, but Blacklist has some similar levels.
Probably the biggest bummer for me. If Ground Zeroes ended with a huge mind fuck or revelation I'd buy it to experience that firsthand.
Yeah, I played Blacklist, and there's definitely more...open levels. It still doesn't have the feel of this. Literally insert yourself from anywhere on the fringe of the map and go where you please. The artificial barricades that still deny a player access because of mechanics...or whatever are still present in Blacklist. Not faulting it, it's a great game and making it more linear has it's own merits. But giving me SC's tool set in an entirely open environment like this would be dreamy for me.
For the first time, I'm actually hoping Splinter Cell takes something from MGS. The open world like nature of these levels. Blow it out for next gen with massive buildings to navigate as well.
Just saw the leaked ending.
It was...brief.
I wish I could care about early story stuff, but I just don't give a fuck of anything pre MGS4 storyline now. I feel like the past has been beaten to death. Like, we know how this is all going to end up now. MGS3 was enough to give us unknown insight on some of the characters, and Big Boss's/Boss' motivations, but it's enough already.

Based on what the guys at Game Informer said, when they were asking Kojima and the team about TPP, it didn't sound like it had really started major development yet. It sounded more like now that Ground Zeroes is done, the engine is done, now time to make TPP.
Not sure they were referring to the ending, if the thing aboutUsual hyped up bullshit. Ending was good, but nowhere near as shocking as they claimed.
doesn't take torashiro to sayIf there is some truth to the Snake that's in GZ not being the real Snake, then that might explain why they haven't contacted Hayter yet. They may only need him for TPP.

At least IGN was talking about the ending: (sorry I posted this a page back too) "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes ends with one of the most disturbing scenes Ive ever seen in a game. Its gross, its violent, its painful, its heartbreaking, and its something I wont spoil here. But its going to draw attention."

So, if Kaz is hellbent against Skullface and Zero for destroying MSF but he doesn't have the resources to fight back, and if Skullface goes rogue and aims to eliminate The Patriots as a whole, making Zero and the Patriots his enemies as well... Does that mean that Big Boss and Kaz will unite forces in one way or another with Zero, thus founding the Diamond Dogs in order to take out Skullface during the events of The Phanton Pain? Hence the FOX vs XOF slogan in the GDC trailer.
This would make also a good excuse for Big Boss making amends with Zero, his return to America and taking control of Foxhound in the surface, since he later is responsible for the Outer Heaven crisis.
in all fairness the 'gaming journalists/enthusiast press' probably didn't actually know this. they have a weird habit of being pretty ignorant of what's going on in their own industry.Lol. Was in a trailer released 9 months ago. GG Kojima.
literally the most solid mgsv theory i've heard in a gaf thread. So, if Kaz is hellbent against Skullface and Zero for destroying MSF but he doesn't have the resources to fight back, and if Skullface goes rogue and aims to eliminate The Patriots as a whole, making Zero and the Patriots his enemies as well... I thought people were kidding about the second bomb thing because it sounded so silly. Well, hopefully V comes out early next year :/
Wow all the best parts really were shown in past trailers. That's a bummer.
The bomb removal surgery and the destruction of Mother Base probably would've had more impact otherwise.
February or March 15' is what I'm hoping for.

If you listened to Skull Face in that cassette tape, you would be at ease.I don't mind Kiefer Sutherland at all but damn, I hope they didn't reduce the character's number of lines just to save money.
I never thought I'd ever see the day I'd be worried about MGS characters not being verbose enough lol.
These Paz tapes are dirty as all hell, God damn.
What the fuck.
There's more than one?
Paz has a diary.
Something about rubbing lotion and her first lesbian experience.

I'm not sure how people can call that a bad ending. Abrupt? Yes. But if anyone on here is saying it's a bad ending because of any other reason than the fact that most of it was spoiled, I think you're nuts.
If you're let down because the big parts were spoiled, that's definitely valid. However, at face value, just looking at the key events of the ending, it's a significant closing to a prologue experience. Paz dead and Mother Base destroyed are pretty memorable events in the MGS timeline. I think they were handled well. I just agree with those that wonder why Kojima spoiled those plot points and images a year ago.
I guess it really does cement the fact that this game wasn't supposed to release separately from the Phantom Pain.
Haha is all that in GZ too? They're from Peace Walker.
Hardly the same thing. That tape is spoiled by the ESRB too.
