I only play with kagestack and astro these days so that's not a problem.

Don't give a damn.

And 1.09 already does this in IH so there's no escape.

The passives that get muted from Duel seems totally arbitrary. I got murdered dueling a Spirit Breaker yesterday cause I thought all bashes were disabled.
Welcome to dota, where all this shit seems random.
Get last hits in a lane and get one level in your slow and get metamorphosis and illusions. When the opposing laner is an INCH out of position slow him, metamorph, create an illusion. At that point he's dead. Then you do it again and again and again until they don't have towers or you've gotten all the kills.

Buy items that give you agility because it helps your illusions.

That's about it. Congrats you are a master terrorblader.

Hint: don't rely on sunder. Don't try cute stuff with it. It's a last minute oh shit save maneuver, not a wander in with 100 health to try and kill someone with skill, you'll just die that way.

I think my hatred for invoker has reached a point where I hate playing AP, I haven't felt this way since centaur. Erry Game, Erry Day, No maners.

edit: Jesus, he appears in about 30% of matches according to dotabuff since the last match. And that's including the lower end. Its gotta be atleast 50% for higher end.

What about picking heroes that have built-in magic immunity like Lifestealer, Juggernaut or omni knight. Another alternative would be high magic resist heroes like Pudge or Phantom Lancer. Also Silencer to ruin his day and maybe a sprinkle of Doom.

The ideal counter is nyx, but I have some mental condition where my favorite heroes usually aren't the trending ones. plz buff troll.

Rengar's voice scared the shit out of me when I first played him. I thought his ult was a good move by riot, it brought something new to the table.

Thats probably part of the problem lol. With troll's poor int gain it must be painful to play against invoker haha.

I don't think Nyx is that good vs invoker. Invoker isn't OD, you'd need at least dust to try ganking him and invoker has alot more defense mechanism compared to OD like cold snap for example.

I had a weird game today with a Viper who I think was Peruvian (though I'm not very good at distinguishing SudAmericana accents). Laning was hilarious as usual with lots of "Eyyyy, Bounty, markalo MARKALO MARKALO"/"ENTRE ENTRE ENTRE" but we got 1st-3rd bloods.

Then midgame he RAGED at our poor Crystal Maiden, who I think was new to the game, and called "gg" nonstop because we lost Mid1.

Enemy AA and WR donated a zillion track kills though, so all good:

Lots of good tips for storm spirit in here on the last page. I too fell into the trap of insisting on farming until I got at least bottle+treads+wand and half of my orchid, really for no reason other than it worked the first couple times I played him.

For ganking builds would you guys skill him 1-3-2-2-2-4? Or heavier on the overload for dmg?

Okay this is the second time in three games of All Random where the enemy team has basically gotten three hardcore pushers, this time Tinker, Shadow Shaman, and Leshrac.

Its based on pre-6.77 Doom. So simply think of everything Doom currently mutes, then remember which 10 passives were recently added to the list. Simple!

Ok, maybe only if you read the wiki to much like me

Spends more time reading about the game than playing it master race.

I'm thinking of running Puck in the offlane. Any thoughts? I tried it in a few games thus far and it feels quite good. I'm a pretty defensive player so offlane is a very natural position for me and I find that I can get levels pretty easily in the offlane while being able to get some farm here and there.

There's nothing wrong with it if you're confident in your laning. Functions kind of like Clock, another mid that works as an offlane (or vice versa).

- Icarus Dive cannot be canceled sometimes (it's thought that the random auto attack messes up the cancel command if they happen at the same time)

Earth Spirit is underpowered now (sort of, he's just kind of an awkward hero in a strange place right now), but I think a hero like him really needs high skill play to balance. Being in CM would help a lot.
Okay, I thought this was just me. Good to know. That's at least some frustration vented.

As for ES he's extremely strong when he has his kit up and overall a very useful support, but he's not always online and I think will only see light of day for his Ember Counter / Extremely early gank snowball lineups?

Needing 0 items and only level 7 to solokill basically anyone every 180s (5 rocks) and you can always save your carry. Sounds pretty good for an organized Position 5.

Fluff letting himself all out there, good lord.
Sounds like TL needs some teambuilding.

There have been several occasions that I can recall: MLG Columbus, Dreamhack Winter and, more recently, the Monster Invitational. I was sitting in my chair throughout all of these events waiting, HOPING that we would fail. I know that's a terrible thing to say, but that was the only way that I could see us realizing a change needed to be made.

Aren't these guys all like super young. I could see that being a lot of stress for some kids. Although, I guess it's not much different then collegiate athletes... but lots of those guys have issues too.

I don't know. I hope he figures his shit out. I like watching them play, and we need some good NA teams in the scene.

Fluff is 21.
To be fair from what I'm reading he did (as Captain) form and take a squad of 5 NA dota to TI as FIRE -> Complexity -> TL which is something.

Also he says he was diagnosed with "depression, adhd, bi-polar, and anxiety disorders", so maybe this is just a flare up. We'll see how TL handles it.

This is actually a really good idea. During the respawn waiting time, I am going to exercise. The more I feed, the fitter though.

Finished Fluff's 29 page thing. He's just super critical and keeps needing to find motivation to continue imo.

Was going through some of his past blogs and he has a retrospective on TI2 that reads very similar:
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/411410-rivers-start-right-here

*Note*
Before I continue, I always have to preface my blogs by saying that I do them in one complete sitting without pause. It is a personal blog and I use it as a tool to look introspectively on my journey.

Why I didn't deserve to win TI2:

Back in 2012, compLexity was a very successful team. Consistently ranked highly, taking tournaments and our team felt great. Our greatest moment before TI2, would've been during our bootcamp where we were crowned champions of The Defense 2. This, in our minds, marked a major stepping stone into proving our strength as a team to the Western Scene. Utilizing that momentum, our team underwent a relatively arduous practice schedule. Our practice had given us a lot of confidence because our win rates were through the roof and our play was solid. Surely, we thought, our dreams to make a top 3 finish at TI2 could be actualized. Here was where I was wrong.

On paper, yes, it seemed like we had every reason to succeed. However, there is so much more that goes into success that is even beyond the game itself. I strongly believe that everything we are in life comes full circle, even when it comes to professional gaming. Being capable of winning and being deserving of winning are two completely different things. This is why I didn't deserve to win TI2.

The Truth:

Honestly, I felt alone. In my last blog I talked about how I separated myself from my friends and my social groups. Most of us know this quote, "Have you ever felt alone in a crowded room?" That was it.

I felt weak, my body wasn't physically active and the only exercise I got was mental exercise. I didn't feel healthy, both physically and mentally. I didn't feel happy, only in those moments of triumph did I feel a mild complacency. I was always unhappy with our results or strategies no matter what our results with them were. I was always searching for the "new" thing and "innovating". I was obsessed with the idea of "different". The main reason why was because it granted me momentary happiness because I was validation seeking. I liked the praise and the recognition so much so that it drove my every thought and action. I wanted to be special...

Realistically and embarrassingly, I was depressed; Depressed and unwilling to acknowledge it.

DotA can often be an escape, for me it was:

"All people operate from the same two motivations: to fulfill their desires and to escape their suffering"
Didn't realize he was in a car accident last year either.

Fluff and Bulba are great players, but TC is like an anchor, and not the fun smashy kind.

TL has seemingly had these internal roster issues forever, doesn't exactly surprise me that their results have been so inconsistent.
