I've gone through Games Press (press service), that featured only a low res logo in JPG format. I've checked archives of LucasArts press site, nothing there as far as I could tell (the archive wasn't stable either). Random House's press service didn't have anything either (it used to have a high res TIFF version of Prima's guide for the game, and that featured the logo on black). Prima's site didn't have anything high res either, nor did the official site of the game, only a low res SWF file.

I think your best chance is to contact someone at Obsidian, try maybe via Twitter or the KOTOR II subforum: http://forums.obsidian.net/forum/5-the-kotor2-universe/

Its almost like it doesn't exist! I wouldn't mind that much, but the title is what would be looked at the most on your shelf.

Thanks for the effort and the advice, I will check with Obsidian on Twitter.

Sometimes I go on a streak I guess. Its unfortunate that the background used on the System Shock 2 cover is a little lower resolution, but that is such an amazing piece of artwork that I have to use it. Logo on the spine is cut-off to emulate the original box.

Zajora, if you see duplicates that I have done in the past it is because I am redoing my covers with the correct template. IE dimensions for my previous covers were just slightly too big.

I guess this weekend I should at least take a crack at the Xbox One template, but I really don't know how I'll be able to size the text correctly even if it's true that the case art dimensions are the same as Blu-Ray..

Well Ive been thinking of ways to help, I have a real high density scanner at work, but I figured someone, somewhere had already done it and cover galaxy has a page with a few submissions, all 300 dpi minimum. Maybe these could help to start with?
*embed images are imgur links, not source links, click the forum link for those

btw, the decision to leave the branding off the cover art, was genius imo, you can have complete freedom with the design and the case will still have brand identity

I made this one for Zone of the Enders HD, but I had to use a pretty low res image for the background:

I don't suppose anyone has a high res version of that image of Anubis and Jehuty, huh?
I made a couple more for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and MGS4 too, if anyone's interested.

In response to one of the messages I sent out to the authors of the covers which had lost their hosting, TheCongressman1 messaged me with re-uploaded versions of some of his covers that had been lost. Here are the previews, with fulls available in the Dropbox:

Sorry about those being down for so long, guys. Had some trouble finding the old laptop they were on.

Finished up a GameCube template with a bunch of different options.

The template is at 300DPI, and when I've printed it, everything's been perfect. Same for the Vita cover. I've been measuring these in milimeters off original cases and reproducing the original covers with assets found around google images.

I hope these are good enough to add to the OP.

Amazing template! Love the plain white version. I'm gonna have to make a gamecube cover now...

Need some suggestions on these

Is the Steam symbol in this DayZ cover too washed out? I'm wavering back and forth, but I think it should be fine.
If you guys think its too washed out, is there anyway to fix that? I want to keep the symbols white to be uniform on a shelf.

What is the better color for the Binding of Isaac logo on the spine? I'm leaning towards white as it matches the cover, but I love the yellow.

Love the cover art for this one, wish I could find it without the information about Ed in the red blob. Just tweeted Ed to see if I can get it without that issue https://twitter.com/Grief_exe/status/444195689354891264

Have to say I didn't like the Ps4 blue cover design at first but with the right coloured artwork the blue frame can look pretty cool!

Don't think its big enough for printing. It's only 96 dpi (usually 300 is best) and ~2000 x 1000 (optimum is about 3000 px wide)

Wow, didn't know you could make scripts like that 3D box one. Watching it run was crazy, auto-pilot Photoshop... Gonna make some boxart now.

Thanks to Tora we have a very good sized version of the reversible MGSV: Ground Zeroes cover art. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t31/1658645_10151937080170986_489741604_o.jpg

Would there be any way to put the PS4 header and spine label onto this? Is that big enough for a quality print? The main problem I'm seeing is that both on the front and spine, the logo is situated too far up north; so it would be covered.

Can't wait to make that into a PC cover when the inevitable happens.

Need to get him to upload the Gameinformer cover art in high resolution as well.

The original OP doesn't update the thread anymore, Zajora does add all of the covers to the Dropbox listed at the top of the OP.

Right. >.>

I see the Beyond covers from a few pages back haven't been added yet, so I'll take the list with a little pinch of salt.

Or they have been, in the 'Large' category. Welp.

How in the hell do you guys manage to cut the paper against the cover to make it look half decent? I've tried this, and done it right, but there's always white on the borders.

Large category has everything, small only contains those who have uploaded in a 3D box format.

Since Grief.exe mentioned making covers for his PC games in the Steam thread, I figured I'd give it a shot as well.

So here's my first attempt with Dust An Elysian Tail

6iYIw3G.png

http://i.imgur.com/4il901X.jpg <- non 3D box version.

I got the logo for Dust and Humble Hearts from the Dust An Elysian Tail presskit.
And for the image used on the cover, I asked Steam user http://steamcommunity.com/id/sunbather to give me a copy of his/her wallpaper without the Dust logo.

For a first shot, I'm pretty pleased with it, but the only thing I wish was better was the PC DVD-ROM bit, I used my Bioshock Infinite cover as an inspiration for what it should look like, but I'm still not convinced it's the best way to make it look, if anyone has any suggestions for what I should replace the PC DVD-ROM section with, I'd be happy to hear it.

I should say that I only add full-size covers that have printable versions, of which you haven't posted any.

Not exactly sure what the sense of tiny, low-res, non-printable covers is? I mean they look good, but VGBboxart is a better place for these kind of mockups.

I don't want to sound rude, just wan't to remind everyone that it would be cool if the main aim of the thread stays printable covers.

For recent games it's often pretty easy to find high-res art. Just choose the google image search and search option "big, bigger than xx megapixels etc.".
Ok Indie games are much more difficult, but this looks great, maybe somnific can redo it as a printable?

Browsing VGBoxart is so frustrating for this reason. There are some amazing designs, but no one ever uploads the high-res version.

What's the point of designing something if it can't be shared?

a) Low res stuff is much easier. A lot easier to find assets, you don't see tiny mistakes etc.

b) A lot of talented people don't want their stuff to be shared. They want the undivided attention for their work, not that someone copys stuff / steals assets, OMG! -.-

Not to say that there aren't some seriously talented people on vgboxart, but I don't like a lot of peoples attitude over there, especially regarding newcomers and the printable/sharing thing.

Btw @ Grief I think I promised too much with fixing the RE cover. Don't have my graphic tablet with me (moved for an internship) and it's not as easy as I thought, espically just with the laptop-touchpad.

Apparently Ground Zeroes already comes with a pretty cool reversible cover.

Just wish it had the PS4 label on the cover and spine. I guess I'm just one of those OCD freaks that enjoys uniform on my shelf. It's weird having that cover on just a blue case; it makes it look generic IMO.

No kidding. I end up having to upscale much of my images for older games and it doesn't look as good. Then there are the mistakes you can easily make.

Go look at my Binding of Isaac work-in-progress cover on this page. There are some mistakes on the bottom of the front that are really easy to spot ;). I'm currently trying to get in touch with the developer to get a high-res asset of that cover without logos.

Strikes me as completely selfish. Best way to get your name out there is to share it as far and wide as possible.

No problem, don't worry about it.
