It's a shame that people's excitement for Watch Dogs is purely based on graphical quality. Am I the only one still intrigued by the game's premise?
It's a Ubisoft open-world game, it has nothing going for it in the gameplay department.

PS4 version might not have the wind simulation actually. I haven't see the trees or plant move as much in any of the PS4 videos
:/
Infamous second son looks a lot better.
Just so people know, wind simulation is not shit waving/ moving all over the place all in generally the same direction. Every engine and pretty much all the consoles can handle that.
This is wind simulation.
You start with a gust of wind from an origin and it actually impacts with walls and objects.
The green is where wind is strongest and purple means there is little-to-no activity.
IDK if it is on the console versions.

Here's the water from PS4 version of the game [e3 2013 ps4 stage demo]

Less spiky, but still looks fine.
You're being ridiculous.I am also expecting that Assassin's Creed Unity on PC will a magnitude better than the console versions...

Nah, it's there. Watch the early morning yoga people. Right before the guy who lifts his leg for the quadrotor. Trees move too.The only thing I saw moving in that video was piece of trash and can. In this video the trees and the grass are swaying nicely. I dunno...
hrmm, barely looks different than the recent PS4 footage [read: highly underwhelming].
not excited at all by this game's premise, so without fancy graphics to draw me in, it's really hard to bring myself to care.
i'm not a huge GTA / open-world fan anyway, so i'm certain for those who are - this might prove more intriguing.

Yea I don't think this is in the PS4 version. The trees and grass don't move at all in the PS4 gameplay videos
or maybe they haven't implemented it yet? who knows?
http://www.dealspwn.com/watchdogs-superior-wind-water-simulation-ps4-139766In terms of the simulation, Watch_Dogs' PS4 version will feature a dynamic wind system that factors in ambient weather, moving objects, city topography and other factors, creating detailed maps of air pressure eddies and currents rather than just a blowing in a single direction.
This is the stupidest thing I have seen pop up recently. Literally every game I have supports 4K in some way, shape, or form. All the "support" means is that the UI (if it doesn't already) scales so it isn't tiny.4K support....
Huh... I wonder how many of those effects will be available on console too.
To clarify, it says "exclusive video" not "exclusive PC tech", so it *is* possible to ask that question (and yes, I speak German, danke)
Nothing impressive, especially after just finishing up infamous ss, and this is PC only graphics? Lol
So its an exclusive video or exclusive to PC.. and it if its PC is it Nvidia exclusive?

The water also looked this good in the tgs demoHere's the water from PS4 version of the game [e3 2013 ps4 stage demo]
A picture's worth a thousand words, huh?Just look at that beautiful aliasing with a hint of missing parallax mapping, lol. Only possible on PC my ass. That trailer looks just as visually mediocre as every other footage we've received of the PS4 version.
A compressed image of a compressed video "Wett surface influenced by rain(drops)."

Yes. Only Nvidia cards can have Wind Simulation, Tessellation, Reflections, and Shadows on NPCs.
/s
The effects in question are possible as being physx, something thats in the PC version....
The water also looked this good in the tgs demo
Dunno why they downgraded it
What is this singular spec PC you keep referring to?
I wish when people say things like this they would put a dollar amount on that PC.
well, if you just finished with infamous, then the water tessellation should impress being that the water in Infamous was plastic.
Those are just the PC enhancements, we haven't seen the Nvidia enhancements yet
TXAA, HBAO+, Nvidia DOF, Physx, 4K support....
