It is!!!
So far I like OT atmosphere and general presentation on iPad much better...but I do not feel they are really similar in gameplay either.
Both are great, so I'm not complaining and I'm not the 'this is better than that' type of guy.
Not impressed with FTL loading times neither tough (on iPad Air).
I'm sure I'll play it a TON...much more than what I played 2 years ago (3 weeks or so).
Are loading times that bad? I don't think there's any problem on my OG mini.. How long does it take to load? Maybe there's a memory leak or something. Though now that I think about it the initial load sometimes gets somewhat slightly slow while waiting for gamecenter but I'd hardly call it a problem.
Awesome! Lone Wolf Act 2 is up guys! Time to get my gamebook on!
The Wolf Among Us episode 3 is out next week. Fucking awesome, I hope they maintain this pace of releasing episodes
I got it in the US maybe it's not out in other regions just yet? I dropped the 2$ for it right quick since I enjoyed the main game when it was 1$ or free, I can't remember.Haven't seen any updates for Tiny Thief.![]()

Everyone should support games without in app purchase like FTL.

Seeing both FTL and Monument Valley storming the charts is great.
so they sabotaged the first game so people would dl the newer more iap timer bullshittier game lol okFairway Solitaire Blast https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fairway-solitaire-blast/id685675706?mt=8
It is free and a follow up to the brilliant Fairway Solitaire.
Basically it is the exact same thing again, only this time if you lose a hole you lose one of your hearts and either have to pay more or wait for a cooldown timer. No doubt the later levels "encourage" this.
The main difference I've seen is you get cards which can blow up other cards around them.
Given the lack of changes and added cooldown timers, the original seems like a better bet given it has about a billion courses. But it is still going to be an addictive experience so it might be worth a look.

So im not hugely into IOS games but I downloaded the flick kick legends game earlier, its f2p and the mechanics are incredibly fun, its a great game, id pay a good £10 for it, the game is littered with ads which pop up at random times, take you out of the game and intrude on the screen. I hate this but I can stomach it. However the game also locks you out of playing after 5 games unless you buy more time, about £3 to buy 5 more games. The game allows you to play 1 game for free every 20 minutes after this. Ive just never seen a business model this anti consumer in my life, its atrocious, is this common?
Haven't played the first one in a while, what did they do?
Yep, very common. Supposed to induce the addictive trigger in your brain. It sure keeps me hooked - I've never ever paid for an "energy refill" but it definitely keeps me coming back to the game.
I don't know personally, but there's been reports of other posters having issues with the game not displaying cards properly after a recent update. I think it was in last month's thread.
Thats too far, just let me buy the game. Its neither f2p or p2w, its just anti consumer.

#1 and #5, respectively.
I don't like it either, but it isn't really anti-consumer. You are just not the consumer they want.
Ah yeah, I remember that.
I suppose, its just that I want to give them my money and they dont have a way for me to give it to them, ill pay for the game right now, but I cant.
Just played the first one (Fairway Solitaire HD) for an hour and no problems at all. I wonder what is going on? I remember the OP with the issue reinstalled to no avail...Haven't played the first one in a while, what did they do?
Didn't they end up coming across as whiny when Whale Trail flopped? I bought it before it was free and didn't think it was a very fun game, so I thought they were being indignant about it. I might wait for a sale on Monument Valley now knowing it's those guys again.Seeing a $10 game at the top of the paid charts is nice, but I think seeing Monument Valley up there is even more promising. It didn't have the benefit of being a well-known PC game. They're simply a studio with a great idea and (hopefully) having it pay off as a premium game on iOS. Especially interesting story when you consider they're coming off a well-documented paid/F2P struggle with their game Whale Trail.
Congrats to those guys.

How long is the game anyway? They mentioned in a video from last month's thread that they wanted to strike a balance in game length, but I inferred that to mean it was probably a shorter game for the casual audience.

At the time, I seem to remember them lamenting the game not selling enough to cover the game's huge budget and it just seemed like a pity party. I think the TA article you mentioned was posted in one of the old iOS mega threads when the game went free. I skimmed the article, and it seemed a lot less entitled than I remember. But at the time, it left me with a negative impression of them since I hate when games go freemium while ruining the experience that used to be in the paid app.How so? It seems like they've been honest about the will and intent to create premium experiences and the struggles they've had making that a profitable reality. I can't find fault in that, unless I'm missing something they've said in the past.

Spent some quality time with FTL on iPad at last.
The porting is GLORIOUS (no more crashes).
Also, nice to see the game is in the top grossing higher part of the charts.
I want to see FTL2 native on iPad, I hope they will be rich by the end of the month.
The FTL port is god tier, it all looks so good on the Air, feels like it was made for it.

There is no god.
Best guess from what I've read is people have said they'll do it after PAX (else why would people care about playing Hearthstone on iPad at PAX), so sometime after next friday (PAX is from the 11th to the 13th). Could be in another two weeks, around Monday the 14th...
What are my options when my O2 room is heavily damaged without oxygen and no drones?
I can't send anyone, because he dies.
But if I do not repair it, everyone dies.
(Actually I sent a drone but pirates destroyed the diid control device).
I send in two people to repair as quickly as possible, then pull them out to heal and cycle in healthy crew if they couldn't finish the job.
