Actually this is very noticeable to me (Macbook pro retina). Messaging trick has a vertical artifact pattern everywhere in the sky. While USB looks great. I guess it really depends on your monitor.

Yeah, I noticed that vertical banding before too and there's some discolouring in the sky. The PSN App trick is much more convenient than fiddling with USB sticks though. :/

Did it explicitly state "songs" there before? I do not remember, but I have a feeling the description has changed.
Could be a big hint at MP3 playback.
I hope this means we could play music during broadcasts and have viewers hear it too.

Nope, but it just dims the picture like VITA.
Works really well and much faster, only problem is that it's not comfortable to press triangle in order to space, they need to change it to one of the triggers and than it would be perfect.

No chance. The copyright lawsuits would go through the roof. It is illegal to have music at a party without paying, there's no way it would be even close to legal to broadcast to the world.
I think automatic installing is not possible because you have to agree to stuff/TOS/whatever.

5.1 audio is still broken for me in Netflix. Nothing coming out of the centre channel. Even although I want the PS4 audio settings the same as the PS3, I think it's finally time for me to agree it's a Netflix issue and not PS4. Shoddy as hell if it's Netflix though and they still haven't fixed it....

Awesome that you can dim the DS4 light bar. That should save some power, right? My one little gripe is that now in cutscenes there is a popup message that informs you of non-recording. Annoying.

well, basically it does, you can link them as mp4 like you would do with webm.

My automatic downloads have magically started working again this week it seems, they would traditionally not start until I turned on my PS4, but now I have them downloaded and ready to install when I boot up my PS4. May not be related since it happened prior to the Firmware update though.

It just depends on when the firmware is released.
In standby mode the PS4 will only check once per day around 4-5am for updates, never else. So it's easy to miss.

HDCP is in System Settings
5.1 is in Audio settings. Choose the "primary audio output" option and set it to HDMI, even if it already is. Then the option appears.
Theres a guy streaming BF4 -Angry russian 720p FW 1.7 and it looks very very nice straight from my PS4. Next up, 1080p streaming
I would rather to get support for 60fps Remote Play.

Just to follow up, coincidence of 1.7 or not I've finally sorted my Netflix issues. Had to turn on a setting called PCM-fix on my Panasonic Receiver. Now works great.
