Resi 6 was fun but it was too unfocused and all over the place, they just threw the story out the window and made it up as they went along. Don't lump me in with the haters of the Resi changes, 4 and 5 are awesome but 6 was a fun mess.

I agree. RE6 has one of the best combat systems in any TPS, it would be a shame if they dropped it.

What? She looks almost the exact same in RE6 as she does in RE4. She maybe looks a bit older, but RE6 is nine years later. She changed the least out of any returning character.

Leon is one of my favorite video game characters, but I really hope he isn't a lead protagonist again. It'd be better if he were to play a supporting role to a brand new character.

Just because you like the direction Capcom are taking RE, doesn't mean it's the right direction. RE6 both sold below expectations and reviewed poorly. Not exactly positive signs

Also, next time they need to put an actual tutorial in the game, since most people doesn't seem to know all the stuff you can do in combat. That Prelude was useless.

I don't even know why you would compare it to a CG render which looks different than the realtime in-game model.
yeah i really liked re6. although it felt a tad bit long, and had some areas that felt like filler, it was a great game. plus the other multiplayer modes were great. i hope re6 gameplay style returns.

The story in RE6 wasn't any worse than any other RE game. If anything it was better than a lot of them. Seeing the story from four different views was great.

I thought that was an in-game model, but even in screenshots she look pretty much the same.

I like Hunnigan. In fact, Hunnigan > Leon. But the bad news is that means Leon will probably be back as well .

I want to be hyped, especially since this reminds me of Resident Evil 4... but after 5 and 6, I'm convinced whoevers left at capcom has no goddamn idea why re4 was good in the first place.

Jake is definitely one of the leads in the next game. Did you guys forget the extra epilogue you get after beating all the campaigns?
We will never play another Outbreak.
Claire is one thing. I'm still wondering if they'll ever do anything with that last plot thread involving Steve, since Wesker took samples from his body, and it seemed like they had plans for him in some way.
But hey, it took this long to bring Sherry back, so I guess it's only a matter of time.

It'd have to be some kinda uber-release.
-Features every character/villain/monster in RE history
-Multiple styles of play (RE4/RE5, RE6, potential RE7, etc)
-DLC to stay up-to-date
-Full Residentevil.net support for unlockable costumes, maps, etc.
It would be legendary if Capcom could pull it off.
None of it made any sense to me until Adas campaign and I spent most of the game laughing at the dialogue and actions in every cutscene *shrugs*. "Welcome to the club".
For being a civilian, Claire is pretty damn handy with a grenade launcher. She's awesome, but the last time I saw Claire she was chilling with Leon at an airport and she looked like she had moved on from that life. Remember, unlike the other heroes, Claire was the lone civ involved in this whole thing. Everyone else was a soldier, cop, agent, or super powerful bioweapon. It would be weird to see her come back especially when all the characters now have turned into superheroes.
Now, if the series shifted focus and brought her back because RE7 was going to be a more grounded take, I'd be down for that.
And yes, I realize that I'm caring too much about the lore in a series that has pretty much abandoned it (sort of). But still, Claire doesn't look like she would fit into what the series currently is.

Your logic is right, but Capcom pretty much turned her into a super agent with CV's intro. Also in the film you speak of, she catches a handgun in midair and instantly headshots like three zombies. I don't really see her not fitting, but yeah, she'd only be in if the fight came to her, and not globetrotting to hunt BOWs.
Mercer is doing voicework too.
RE game or CGI movie.
High-concept: RTS where you play as Hunnigan and have to train and attack Bioterror threats using BSAA agents. Level 3 training unlocks the rocket launcher.

I think they should just make two whole different campaigns. One like REbirth, single player only with lots of exploration, backtracking, puzzles and limited inventory managment (and maybe even the ink ribbon system). The other one like modern games, with coop, lots of action, a more refined version of RE6 combat system, and all that stuff.

I forgot about the John Woo stuff in CV. She does have her action hero moments.
Part of me wonders if Capcom even wants to go back to characters like Claire. RE6 ends with a setup for Jake if I'm not mistaken.

I have both consoles, but to be honest, I'd rather play it on PS4. I prefer the controller and with Sharefactory out now, I just want more games to make videos out of. lol.
