I will never understand what people see in this. It's really just flat-out a bad movie. Easily one of the worst I've had the misfortune to sit through.

Well I guess we disagree on how good it is then. I'll side with the "it's shit" crowd if we're talking genuine quality. Closer to Point Break or Fast and the Furious than, say, Goodfellas or Snatch (arbitrary comparisons, I know).

Spring Breakers is easily in my top three films of 2013. Such a relief since I hated Trash Humpers so much. Harmony's brilliant, but he ain't Giuseppe Andrews.

Everyone who hated SB must be crotchety fogies or something. But then again, some people couldn't stand Pacific Rim either... so go figure.

good story, great cinematography/directing, interesting take on spring break culture/our obsession with it with some subtle social commentary, that Alien monologue, that Britney Spear montage. It's an overall great movie.

The order can be a bit scrambled, that's why I listed so many. Just a general ball-park. Wings of Desire is easily my favorite though. Also not sure if Vivre Sa Vie is my favorite Godard, but let's say it is for the sake of argument.

I t's a pretty shallow and empty movie but I kinda like the dreamy aspect of it.
And the soundtrack too.

Interesting movie, definitely not what I expected although I didn't really know what to expect aside from I knew it wasn't what you might assume it'd be considering I've read others impressions of it.

I enjoyed the look and sound of the film and enjoyed a lot of the music used in it.

I think this film captures a certain element that's really present in Florida. a kind of that vapidity and nihilism the breeds when the place around you doesn't offer much beyond sensual pleasures.

Really a beautiful movie. It creates this really strange mood of sexy/uneasy. It makes you feel like a creep, and I understand how that's hard to handle for some people. But I really consider it kind of a prank; the way Korrine tricked people into seeing this movie, expecting a tna party movie, but instead got this really kind of small, weird, arty movie that made you feel like a total perv for watching it.

It was more surrealist but I didn't think it changed too much. They got caught up in crime. Simple as that

it's pretty much my go-to film when i'm fucked up and just feel like zoning out to something
