This is why I paid full price for it on Steam rather than buying it on the deal sites like GMG. It was worth the extra $10-$15 to me to be able to boot it straight from Big Picture Mode when playing on my TV with a controller and to have instant access to my Steam friends list, messages, etc..

That will be the Uplay version via GMG which I believe you can get for around $45, or at least could up until a few days ago.

I was tempted but like I said, I decide it was worth the extra cash just to be able to boot it through Steam without having to deal with that shit.

If I recall right it may require a one time set up to turn off the go to overlay or something but I don't remember. But I just know after the update I was able to boot straight into the game from Steam from then on w/o a problem.

Buying the standard edition. There is nothing special or additional with me. But if the season pass content is significant, that I would miss something, then I wouldn't buy it at all.

GOTY/Complete Edition once it goes below $25. This shit with pre-order bonuses, store exclusive content and season passes is downright insulting now and needs to end.

I have no plans of buying and playing this game at all. Better wait 4-5 years rather than buy and play the same game over and over again until they finally make it right after cutting of all not working and redundant ideas and mechanics.

I don‘t understand all this for a new IP. I‘m not invested in this game at all so what makes them think I‘d want Aiden‘s cap? Or T-bone‘s campaign? And for all I know the soundtrack is awful etc...

This is enough to deter me from touching the game. These kind of exclusive content/DLC practices have become ridiculous. If someone's paying $130 for the limited edition and still missing out on that much content something's wrong. Very wrong.

Per the chart, the Limited Edition version gets zero extra in-game content. You're shelling out $69.99 on top of the game's retail price for mass produced physical crap that's literally going to sit on a shelf and collect dust after you've looked at it once. $69.99 for a statue, flimsy mask, metal disk case, soundtrack CD, and a half-assed art book? I'm not even going to count the "collector's box" since there's nothing special about a freakin' cardboard box (unless you're Solid Snake or a cat).

Since nothing in this version enhances the game you're buying, do you really need all of this extra dust-catching shit? Since they're going to manufacture a metric fuckton of these, they won't really be "limited". When you get tired of all this plastic crap sitting around taking space you won't get much for it because there will still be lots of them out there for anyone who wants them. Right now on Amazon, I can buy sealed, new, copies of GOW3 Epic Edition (X360) and Skyrim Collector's Edition (PS3) for under their original MSRP.

That's $69.99 you could used to buy a complete other game. Conversely, you could take a third of that and buy the Season Pass and ensure you actually get more content for the game.

Did you ever stop to think maybe he wants all of that? I bought the CE of Infamous SS because of the beanie. It's not unthinkable to want things.
