PS4 Sharefactory Thread.

Here's my first go. One of the challenges in the new Trials game instantly inspired me to make this but at the time I did not understand how the recording features worked. Once I did I went about recreating the moment and it ended up glitching, but that turned out to be a good thing.

Here's my first video. It's called "Oriole Magic". It's a tad unwieldy, as I have to repeat the song to match the clips. I basically have the lineup for the Orioles that was planned for this season before injuries and whatnot took hold. Each player gets a walk-up scene and then subsequent clips of offensive and/or defensive moments. I'm sure after a more experience with ShareFactory, I can make a more efficient version of this (shorter, less music, quicker cuts, etc.). Enjoy!

Tried this for the first time today, it's brilliant. Love the themes (I hope we get more), the layout and ease of use. All it needs is a direct to YouTube upload option and it would be perfect.

I made a dumb Octodad video and wanted to put some generic, intense hardcore song to play in the background but remembered they didn't want copyrighted music. Discouraged, I wrote and recorded my own stupid hardcore song about Octodad in about 8 minutes and put it over top of my shitty Octodad video. The Octodad and Young Horses Twitter accounts both liked it enough to retweet it, although that may have just been out of sympathy or pity. Enjoy!

My Road to the Show shortstop begins his career with a montage:

10 internet points if you know the song reference!

Blocked in the UK due to music copyright :(

I just watched in the UK no problem, even on my Chromecast it played fine.

And aro52's 2nd video.

Edit: great videos by the way.

I don't like Baseball, being a Brit you don't really grow up with it, but The Show looks amazing and I want it just for the presentation and overall "Looks like a real Baseball match/game on TV"

Finished my first video but a couple of questions.
How do you end a video? I have the PS4 outro but then it shows the Share factory logo for another minute.
So there's no quick link to Facebook? USB a must?

Think there's a sticker on the outro that's the logo you're seeing, you can delete it.

Once saved its in your capture gallery where you can pick USB or Facebook upload.

I had a good experience making my first share factory video and it turned out well. Was fun to make.

However trying to make a second one last night has been a nightmare. Spent about an hour and a half on one and was putting the finishing touches on it when share factory decided to crash out and I lost everything.

I started again and was saving very regularly after the previous incident. Now I'm having issues where share factory just randomly forgets where I've trimmed clips and defaults back to the entire clip. Makes it infuriating when trying to time music to specific moments.

Top this off with the fact that the Share button is still broken and often doesn't let you save your videos (only screenshot save appears) and I'm starting to get pretty fed up with Sony. Seeing the constant OS updates Microsoft is doing for Xbox One is just icing on the Sony hate cake lol.

I really want to enjoy those features but when they are so broken it becomes infuriating!

So I was messing around again with Sharefactory and discovered why the trimmed clips were reverting back to their full length in the project. If you move any clip to a different position in the timeline it seems to cause several other clips (possibly all) to lose their trimmed positions.

To avoid this issue make sure you position all your clips first in the final order you intend, then trim them down as required (such as to time to the music). Annoying but seems to avoid the problem.

I kept getting everything trimmed and ordered how I wanted but then discovered I wanted to move just a single clip. As soon as I did this the project would forget all my trimming I had preformed. It doesn't affect transitions or clips that have been split though.

So I'm not sure what to do. For some reason none of my Wolfenstein captures are showing up in sharefactory. I've tried sorting and looking through the whole list. I've tried restarting but no dice the videos will not show up

It's possible you may have too many captures. My latest captures weren't showing up, but when I deleted older ones, the new ones got added, seems there's a limit on the number of captures Sharefactory will let you use.

Lost all credibility.
Decided to give it a go and woah, this is an amazing piece of software, I think I'm gonna use it a lot more :) Mix of some hacking, views and handing down justice from Watch Dogs:

That's some epic stuff. Loved the driving bit, the vistas are pretty amazing with the city in the background and there's an incredible sense of speed. The train part brought back memories from the opening of Half-Life 2. And wow the visuals are so lifelike.
