For major releases? There will be, just you wait. If you want to see it...a few hours before the early release, walk down 48th Street from 6th avenue to 5th, just down from Radio City Music hall, and you'll see a long line of dedicated Nintendo fans...all waiting in anticipation for the launch event.

Rockefeller Center even puts up barriers around the line. :)

Nah I preordered so that I dont have to see it.

If anyone is going in to preorder shoot me a PM. I would like a copy and am happy to compensate for the extra time/effort it takes to grab a second copy and ship it.

i just got my preorder at nintendo world and the cashier guy was telling me about some of the stuff nintendo is unveiling at E3. He said they are going to start selling really nice nintendo figurines that are unique to each purchase. they have little unique barcodes that can be scanned via 3ds camera or wii u thing, and can be upgraded and leveled up via gameplay achievements. sounds interesting if true.

So practically the NFC figurines in their NFP system will not be just some kind of DLC for the games, but also used as some kind of achievement system for NNID associated with that figurine? That would be cool.

Preorders mean nothing. Animal Crossing XL's sold out, Pikachu XL's sold out, Zelda XL's sold out...I'm seeing a pattern here. I'm still going to preorder and pick it up day one.

$80 plus tax? (a little less than $88 with NYC tax) And can only buy one? Hmm...

I want to buy one for a friend who lives in another state. Hopefully they will sell it to those who don't pre-order, and that I can walk in / walk out to buy multiples.

Snagged my pre-order today just before the store closed.

I was thinking of getting digital copy for the free game, but then again the only game I have not had yet from that list was the party game.

Correct, it's super small (although I've not been to the one in NY to compare) but it's great considering if you're shopping there you're also getting an employee discount of hardware/software.

Only thing I ended up picking up while working there other than games was a Mario pin and a Luigi one for a friend, the other merch is still plenty cool though.

Anyone who goes should also grab those Mario Brothers slippers while you are there. They rock!

Seemed like a pretty busy store during the Easter holidays. Hopefully Australia gets included with that EU limited edition. I see a news story mention an announcement that they're bringing it here from EB Games but it isn't on their website.

Being a Nintendo fan and someone who enjoys buying cheap CEs a few months after a game's release is tough. Either they're location exclusive, or printed so limited you can't even get them at launch. And if you do get them, they just do a reprint later. But if you don't, they never will.

I'll be at the launch, but I'm not sure if I can justify dropping $87.10 on this bundle.

If it had a Pro Controller, then I'd be all in, but I'm skeptical.

Must be a run so limited they didn't even bother selling it via regular outlets, just a select few at NintendoWorld. Really sucks for anyone not in NYC. Wish I could get one :/

It's definitely limited, but from discussions with Nintendo World staff it's literally the European version wrapped in a new box. From their perspective the packaging was the only limited thing about it. So those that are bummed: import the European LE and print the US box. Close enough! Course that doesn't help you play the game, but hey... Useless tchotchke!

I didn't realize shipping was so expensive if it's not going overseas, unless you plan on selling it for a large profit.

Price? My friend going to NYU is gonna buy MK8 for the both of us at launch, so depending on the price he might want to pick this up instead.
