There might not be a mini... this was misinformation to weed out internal leakers.

There is no way the RT Mini doesn't exist. Microsoft has been billing this as a "small" Surface event for a reason.

More likely that the Pro 3 doesn't exist (yet).

Which would be terrible, if in fact all Microsoft has to show today is a smaller Windows RT tablet. The full-size RT at least has the benefit of being an excellent portable Office machine, but I don't think you'd want to do much productivity work on something even smaller.

I really hope they announce a bigger Surface. I've almost pulled the trigger a few times on a Surface Pro for doing art stuff but the small screen has stopped me. I go back and forth between wanting a Pro and getting a Cintiq. My EP121 has a 12 inch screen and it's fine for what I want to do but it's a bit heavy and the touch screen started to die on it a few months ago

Why is this surprising? It's cheaper and lighter than the best ultrabooks out there: the t440s and the Acer...I forget the name.
