Better conference than last year. High on sunset overdrive, crackdown and ori. Others not so much. Gotta see more of the platinum game.

So just about all the rumors were true, but nothing much beyond that?

Was about to say this myself.

If it was last year a show like this would have been amazing, but we knew about many of those games and they spent too much on Halo collection.

But props to Xbox and Phil Spencer, that was a solid show, no bullshit.

Solid conference. Really enjoyed what they showed. What a year a difference makes.

Sony will have a lot of work to do because they can't just rely on Microsoft fucking up this year.

Also, Microsoft showed a lot of what I expected at Sony's conference, like Assassin's Creed. So I wonder what Sony will show now. Destiny is a given, and they have some first-party stuff they can show, but I mean... Battlefield Cop? I'll save more of those thoughts for the Sony thread, but yeah, Microsoft really did a solid job this year.

- Too much CGI
- Too much "thank YOU so MUCH for shaping the future of Xbox!"
- Too much stuff we already knew about (Phantom Dust and Crackdown 3 are quite literally the only two new exclusives we didn't already know about. I guess you could consider Platinum's a third, which we knew existed but hadn't seen yet)

Pretty lame conference unless you were going in as a current Xbox One owner. I saw not a single thing that makes me interested in an Xbox One instead of a PS4 or upgrading my PC.

I liked the pace of the conference, but the content was mediocre at best. A few interesting third party games, disappointing exclusives in my opinion. Even the new Platinum game didn't look so hot (hard to judge from that trailer of course). No idea what people are seeing in Sunset Overdrive.

Need a new Dolan comic of "everything was cg." I hope the other conferences don't use as much cg. It's annoying.

Kamiyas new game looks like it's just DMC, which I loved... But Bayonetta did enough different. That Scalebound or whatever had me convinced that they just got the rights for dmc, but decided to reboot it using the how to train a dragon ip, also.

  • Cuphead
  • Halo Collection
  • Phantom Dust
  • Scalebound
  • "Playdead" game

Slightly dissapointed, but good enough for me to keep my Xbox One

that's it? no big surprises? oh well, that was a mostly boring conference (other than Ubi stuff). and Witcher 3 of course. Evolve was alright too, thought that new monster design was genuinely creepy and intimidating, well animated too.

These are some cheesy trailers man

I officially decree this E3 to be The Year of the Cheese.

hahah no kidding. Sunset Overdrive, Scalebound, Phantom Dust and Crackdown all looked SUPER cheesy to me, pretty much as far as possible from what i personally enjoy. oh well.

and why so much CGI!? it doesn't mean anything, has nothing to do with the game except maybe the artstyle.

Halo looked good...sunset overdrive looked good...but overall I'll give MS a B on their conference...they def brought it with a gamer focus so that's awesome...but nothing from this conference is going to make me buy an Xbone unfortunately...

Guardians and FM5 next year will get me to pull the trigger...

Don't have an Xbone, and this conference didn't do much to change that. Would like to see more about Scalebound and Crackdown, but other than that...

Phil Spencer is a plus.

Too bad he wasn't in charge from the start.

Like the new attitude, but can't trust that it won't be 180'd as soon as they rediscover success.

Good conference, just not enough to bring me back into the fold after their prior tragic missteps.

P.S. I just don't get Sunset Overdrive or all the douchey lead characters in today's games.

MS tried but I didn't see anything there that for sure won E3 for them.
A lot of it was leaked sure but even with what was shown it didn't change anything. All of it being CG trailers basically was pretty sad.

Solid conference. Phil Spencer definitely played to the gamer audience. Don't think I'll buy one until a price drop/attractive bundle, but they have some cool stuff in the pipe.

Was fun enough. Can't say I am interested in many of the games they showed, but they had a very nice approach with nonstop games and little useless chatter. Waaaay to much precooked stuff, though.

s'OK. No complaints.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
ntkrnl: the conference

Good conference though. A few exclusives, too much CG, great all games focus. B. The megatons were CG and I don't necessarily appreciate that. But the games exist so all is well. Do they not have any new first party IP? B.

Nothing really there. No Rare apart from just showing Conker in Project Spark or whatever that is.

Looks like I don't really need to get an xbone this year afterall. Hoping Sony's conference does it for me.

Just when they get started, they end the show. Not buying an Xbox One based on what we saw today. Not even close.

Same... The only interesting title is Sunset Overdrive annnd... Cuphead, an indie title. Scalebound from Kamiya as well but no gameplay footage means it will be a holiday 2015 title at best so ya'. It was a really good Press Conference tough. Game after game without filler or boring content.

Great show MS!

Ori
Phantom Dust
ScaleBound
Halo Collection
Dragon Age Inquisition
Witcher 3
Forza Horizon 2

Those are off the top of my head. I know I'm missing many more that have my interest.

Multiplats that will play better on the competing platform, games we already new existed, and CGI trailers for games that are two years out = B+?

I give your desperation in this thread a solid A+. You couldn't be less obvious.

I give this conference a solid B+. Great show, MS(Phil + team).

Didn't feel like any of those game was jaw-dropping, at least in my opinion, but Sunset: Overdrive, The Witcher 3, The Division, Halo, AC: Unity and a few others, CoD included, definitely got me excited.

But besides that: this conference was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Games, games, games. What a spectacular pace.

That was a very okay conference. Don't care for a majority of the AAA IPs, including Sunset.

Three solid indie titles, but one of them isn't exclusive.

Still nothing that interests me exclusive wise , welp no x1 for me yet. All that hype before their conference... it was all for nothing. Give credit when it's due- it was all about games, good job MS, just not enough for me to buy your system yet.
