Beautiful game
i just noticed it said bling lol
Thanks again for all the awesome support. After almost four years of development, our entire dev team is so happy to finally see Ori out in the open!
There should be a few previews popping up today with videos that show around 10-15m of gameplay. The demo we showed at yesterdays showcase event is from a very early part of the game and it's been amazingly fun to just watch people finally get their hands on it now.
I hope that people that grew up playing games like A Link to the Past or Super Metroid are gonna get a crazy kick out of it - We _LOVE_ the polish and care those Nintendo games of the early 90s were made with, that commitment to insanely tight design throughout the entire game... I hope people get that same kinda feeling when they get their hands on Ori!
One thing to note while you guys are watching the videos should probably also be that we managed to stream absolutely all the content while playing, so you'll NEVER see Loading Times in Ori. It's one fully connected, completely seamless world... and it's surprising how much it feels like playing an old cartridge game if you never ever have to endure a Loading Screen
Thanks so much again for all the kind words! The response so far has been an absolute dream, unbelievable and seeing the smiles of all these people after they played Ori is making me feel like a million dollars
woa dude, amazing job!
could you tell us if it's going to be released this year?
Thomas, you're a dev for Ori? Keep up the good work.
Ori was the most interesting game of E3 so far, for me. By that I mean, one I would actually purchase. The game looks really intruiging and sorta reminds me of Limbo; it's a very beautiful game that looks like it will be fun and touching.
I look forward to playing it for myself.
Holiday 2014 is the release date, says so in the OP.
This looks like an artistic rip-off from Child of Light. Granted, the gameplay could be much different, but the art is spot on.

Completed the E3 demo today and wow... what an incredible experience. It feels like a metroidvania game with moody music, insanely sweet graphics and super tight gameplay that reminds me of a classic Nintendo game. I love the little detail of different jumping animations if you jump consecutively, a la Mario 64. I forget what they called it but you can collect a certain orb that allows you to save (by holding B) at any spot you want so that if you die, you will respawn at that exact point. This is my game of E3 so far. Thank you Moon Studios!
