Your setting / fireteam is defaulted to friends, switch to public, it fills up quick
And what exactly are the grimoire cards? I don't really wanna log in etc to find out about them on the website

Yup. Don't worry in Beta it will return and we may have to limit it a bit more. Either that or we will make a couple of them. I have time to think though.
Ok you seem more knowledgeable than me with this so let me ask you a questionPeople keep suggesting this as a fix and I don't think it is. Setting your fireteam to public just makes it so anyone can select you and join your team. Other players not populating your world is a known bug right now. It's not your fireteam.

I go into a strike with 3 people. It's a 3 man mission. 3 other people are already there, what's stopping the other 3 people from joining us for the mission? Can two fire teams do it a the same time or is there an invisible instance portal I don't know about?
So it seems we've found the limit on how large your clan can be. Look like it's 500 people. So once we hit retail we will have to be more selective for sure. But that's one reason it was open to everyone right now. I wanted to find that hard limit. Since it's the final day we won't be making a 2nd one but now thanks to this I can figure out how to structure things and what limits we can put on for retail.

Is it just me or does this game not look remotely good enough to not be 60 fps?
I mean, artistically it's great, but I think the lighting and shaders are pretty underwhelming. Looks like a higher-res old-gen, albeit still good-looking, game.
Completely disagree with this. Most of my time in Old Russia is spent alone and exploring the area, and I have so much fun. Nothing tedious about it at all.You can play it alone, but the Alpha isn't nearly as good by yourself IMO. The spongey RPG nature of combat feels tedious when solo, and the explore map is clearly built for a fireteam of 2 or 3 rampaging their way through it. The enemy spawns create a constant stream of encounters that doesn't really feel right when you're alone. Gives off a lonely feeling, but not a good loneliness like the feeling of isolation some games can provide, but a sterile loneliness where you just go through the motions and think "Am I playing this the right way?"
In other words, find some people to play it with. Even if they don't use mics, the experience is 200% better.
I'm assuming you didn't mean to type in 'not'. The game has been locked at 30fps
It's a bit of a weird sentence, but I think it has the correct number of negations for what I'm trying to communicate.

the MMO parts of this game kind of blow, which is weird because i thought i'd be into the PvE
PvP surprisingly is a ton of fun, but i agree that hip fire should be buffed a little
To each their own, I guess. To me, and seemingly most people, the MMO elements are awesome.
The ?? means they're a much higher level than you which is also, likely, why they weren't taking noticeable damage. It's going to be so satisfying to kill a Hallowed Knight, hopefully in the beta. Most of them in the Alpha have ?? over their heads and seem to be invincible, but I found one at level 16. He seemed unphased and unimpressed with everything I threw at him, and nothing registered any damage except my scatter grenades, and each hit would only register one damage, for a total of 10-12 or so. The interesting thing though, is the explosion from my Rocket Launcher knocked him back to the edge. It seemed like one more hit would knock him over, but I ran out of heavy ammo. Going to try again, at least that would be somewhat satisfactory in the interim. Also, I want to explore the hole he was in.

As I say, there's much to love here. The 2 maps in the alpha seem excellent so far, the new movement abilities bring a verticality and flow that really works. I'm not even that concerned about the supers (effectively win buttons) which I thought would overpower everything.
The problems in Destiny PvP arise as soon as you engage another player. The two main problems are these:
1. Right now, movement (walking and strafing) when not sprinting is like wading through treacle. This causes huge problems and frustrations when in combat as it limits your options of response.
2. Hip firing. I know ADS is here to stay and I can actually see a viable role for it, but please Bungie, give the skilled players the option to maximise their mobility with more skill-based aiming. Let me jump, let me weave and let me win duels because I'm more skilled than my opponent - not just because I saw them first.
Both of these factors basically come down to skill. Promoting the development of skill is what the Bungie shooter history is based on and why after more than a decade of playing their games, I'm here to ask that they help me want to play them for the next ten. Skill equates to depth and depth equates to long term investment.
I totally agree. I think the problem nowaday ist that, developers don't realize that PVP falls and stays with the more competitive players and the ones who want Skill in the games. Every Game has to be casual today ( look at that AUTOAIM ! )
Zoba, you have to go through the bungie website
Go to alpha.bungie.com and there should be an option for "Clan" on the left sidebar.
We will need to separate the guild between Europe and North America.
i just hope we can all be together as one happy gaf family
I wish i could level pass 8 , so many badass gear i can't use, cant wait for the full game, 3 more months sigh
There's a fallen ghost in there, that's it.It's going to be so satisfying to kill a Hallowed Knight, hopefully in the beta. Is jumping high a hunter skill?
There's a fallen ghost in there, that's it.
I'm a warlock and double tapping makes me hover. You can double-tap X to jump high with every class. Tap X again to stop the boost.
Haven't seen one of those, can they harm you?
Max leveled just now. The Strike mission was fun, but oh my god is it grindy with those bosses. Very exhilarating though.
Final thoughts:
I wasn't interested in this game at all before this. Now I might be all in.
