I really hope it is MM3D.

Majora's Mask got a bad rep before for its time mechanic, like fans have a good amount of hate for that game.

But time has passed and fans saw how really good Majora's Mask is, as in OoT-level good. A remake will really help spread the love for Majora's Mask to the fans who have missed that game.

I want a majoras mask 3d. I mean most of the assets are already done right simply because they're shared thanks to the history of the two games on n64.

MM had to live up to the best game ever made, when the OoT hype was still colossal, when people (myself included) were expecting a follow up in the same vein of the first masterpiece.

It was an extremely unlucky game which, as astounding as it may sound, was even more innovative than its predecessor.

Makes me wonder what's really going on with MM3D. There's been just less than 3 years since OoT3D, and the gap between the original OoT --> MM was about 1,5 years (In Japan).

Since 2011, Grezzo has released the Anniversary edition of FS and a Streetpass game, those don't seem to be very heavy titles to develop. So if they were just gonna remake MM3D using OoT3D assets, they would likely be done pretty soon.

Totally qualified prediction: If we haven't heard about MM3D come November, it's "something more" than "MM with OoT3D assets".

Nintendo may also be trying to slot the game in appropriately. Currently, they have had a solid stream of 3DS releases, including a packed fall for this year.

Could be waiting for a gap in their release schedule to push the game out, or possibly porting to WiiU as well.

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
Next year would be the 15th Anniversary of MM, so the timing's right.

Thing is development isn't always so straightforward. Between the last three Nintendo contract jobs, Grezzo is probably working on prototypes they are shopping to Nintendo. Meanwhile, Nintendo may have said "okay, we want you to work on Majora's Mask 3D with us now" and shows them a decent wage for it.

I'm sure we'll finally get the MM3D announcement at a Nintendo Direct later this year. Release in 2015.

All I ask for is a Majora's Mask Master Quest.

Instead we got something better and MM dethroned OoT.

for me, at the very least

Basically they've made both remakes and original stuff. Would you like to join us to make a legend?

They're looking for programmers and planners.

The title is "Don't you want to make a legend with us?"

Ishouni densetsu wo tsukurimasen ka?

That wording makes it less "Work on Zelda with us!" and more "Come and make our team something special"

And Master Quest/Hard mode unlockable from the start, along with accessibility improvements.

The word "legend" is the same one used in the title of the series.
And it is highlighted.

I know what Densetsu means :(. Maybe they're working on a spiritual sequel for Seiken Densetsu ;)

(I'd be so down for this if they got Hiroki Kikuta to compose)

Both are amazing in their own way... but OoT it's something else. Even now it's still incredible in almost every aspect: OoT was a colossal event because it was something totally unique and innovative in every way, MM built on that basis, it couldn't be what it is without OoT.

stealth bump so that more people read the OP

Perhaps they're being allowed to make their own portable Zelda game, like Capcom used to?
Oh dear god, things like this make me giddy. Unfortunately it'll be Majora's Mask 3D :(

Not that it's not a fantastic game that deserves to be experienced by a new generation, but really, I want a new Zelda game, even moreso after how good ALBW was.

I wouldn't get my hopes up that they're making MM3D, almost half of all japanese games have the word Densetsu somewhere in the title. That's a fact.

I'd love for this to be an original Zelda game for the 3ds instead of a Majora's Mask remake. But above all, I hope this isn't just supplemental work on Zelda Wii U.

It isn't a stretch to say it's MM 3D though. We all knew if MM 3D was happening that Grezzo should be doing it and here they are hinting at MM 3D. It also makes sense that between Smash and Pokemon they have a good lineup for the fall that pushing another Zelda out on the 3DS this year would be foolish. Save it for next year. I still need to beat Master Quest anyway.
