Still unbelievable MS fucked it up so badly. I really thought they would have the console market in their pocket this gen. But then $499/499 happened and launching almost a year later in some 26 countries (which includes many European countries).

Don't know about UK but here in Finland Watch_Dogs bundles were very limited and have been sold out since launch week.
Edit. Oh. Amazon has them in stock. I guess elsewhere they were not that limited.

Were you not paying attention last gen? MS made very few inroads into Europe and were generally outsold by the more expensive PS3 when it launched.
Not sure how they would have had the console market in their pocket,..unless you're referring to just the UK and US.

It's a higher cost bundle (£385 vs £350) so people buying it are making a choice to purchase WD rather than nothing. With TF it's just included with every system except the new Kinectless SKU at no extra cost. There is definitely a difference because the former means people are spending extra money to get WD with their system.
Maybe, but imo MS did a great job with the 360 coming from the OG Xbox. The amount of SW and HW they sold compared to their predecessor. They went form what? 20+m OG Xbox's to 90 million 360's? That surely can not be the work of only the US and UK. I would think if MS played it cards right it would have a good shot at capturing the majority of the market, even though I would think the PS4 would still be close.
Thanks but i wander how much it means in terms of the sales differences 20% , 50% or more than 100%.. because last time when somebody shared the monthly unit sales for PS4, XBO n all other formats, PS4 was not that far ahead..
Also, at the end of May before Watch Dogs.

Really pleasantly surprised with Tomodachi's performance, I hope it encourages Nintendo to bring over more obscure Japanese titles.
Difference between PS4 and Xbox One versions of games on the chart is impressively dramatic. Surprised at the legs on Watchdogs as well. I remember Back when it first released there was a lot of talk about how Mario Kart 8 was going to be charting higher than it by it's second week.

Watch Dogs has been massively advertised for PS4 too, some of the adverts on TV for it almost gave the impression it was a PS4 exclusive so it's really not surprising it's holding strong on that platform, especially with the console bundle on top of that.
As of two weeks ago (IIRC), we know that PS4 + One = 1,500,000 since launch.
And, since there hasn't been any update about it yet, PS4 has yet to hit the 1 million mark. In the case nothing changes this week

Buy one get second half price. So £45 for 2 i.e. £22.49 each rather than £30 each. Also applied to the eShop version (not counted in charts) and I think physical sold out too.
Eeeh, it sounds like Tomodachi's promotion could have had a bigger impact on its recent performance than what done for MK8, especially since GAME had it at 29.99 for just one day and not for, you know, an entire week. I'd say, while helped by GAME's promotions and whatnot, the game is still holding up quite well on its own.
Seriously, don't we have insiders anywhere who could give us hints about, at least, what's going on between Xbox One and Wii U, how much One is still outselling Wii U (the most plausible scenario, given this is UK), and also how many weeks till PS4 reaches the million, if it follows the current trend.

It's baffling that MS couldn't see this as a problem at launch. The success they had with the 360 was based on friends on-line. It's almost like they forgot there was no BC or other reason to stick with them.

MS thought it would sell "because Xbox". In fact, if you look in sales threads like NPD, you'll find people that still believe the X1 will pull ahead simply because it's Xbox and somehow that's its destiny. Of course, that completely ignores history, since I'm sure Sony expected the same with the PS3

No. Right now in the UK, The Titanfall bundle is pretty much the only XBone bundle.
I still haven't seen the kinectless Xbone in the wild over here. It's just the Titanfall one everywhere.
Just look at where Titanfall stands in store charts to see where the sales are comming from (It's very low at most stores. 30 and lower)

What I find interesting is that while many might say "Of course XB1 is doing poorly in Europe just like the 360 did." that's actually doesn't seem to be a accurate comparison. From the Germany and UK charts alone it's pretty clear that going into Gen 8 MS is actually managing to lose marketshare in Europe [even outside the UK]. As of right now it looks to me that MS will either split the US and UK or give Sony an extra 15% or so marketshare over them. That would suggest 25M - 30M units sold in the US [down from their 41.5M or so with 360], 4M - 5M in UK, and assuming MS loses half their marketshare in other territories [probably an assumption too far] that'd be another 15M loss or so. You're then talking about a final WW LTD of around 45M or so. I had strongly believed at worst XB1 would end up around 55M WW, with 60M probable. It looks to do worst then that to me.
