On a recent Guardian podcast host said hope we will all be able to enter the crucible together after the July 17. Deej responded no doubt my friend, if not sooner.

I hope it is sooner.

Also saw a recent post of the Destiny forum that Bungie.net would be going down for server maintenance is a couple of hours and it may not be possible to sign in during that time. I would imagine that once the site goes down and comes back up, that is when you will be able to access your profile and choose your platform.

Bungie ad IGN are already able to access the Beta code and connect to the servers.
I think Deej hinted at the possibility that their consoles could be whitelisted so they could play before the 17th.
We peasants will still have to wait until the 17th.

You should be okay by the 17th if you pre-order today, I think Amazon says you need to give them 2 days for a beta key. If you pre-order the digital version on PS4 you should be all set for the Beta and not have to do anything else from what I can tell.

If you have two Beta codes, you'll be able to download the beta on both consoles. You just have to log in to your two accounts – one for your Xbox and one for your PlayStation – and choose them separately.

I'm either so mentally trained to look for either a solid blue/red character (opposite team) or my reflexes are just getting to slow. I was really holding out hope that come the beta they would make team identification a little more upfront. Anyone else have this issue?

I normally have this problem in CoDs specially if they are running the trait with no name tag. I don't remember having this problem in Destiny, I'll definitely test it more next week because I hate having that problem.

Look at the color of people's names.

Ya i think you will find many people giving the genders and races a spin, especially while they try things out in the Beta. I had a female hunter and warlock and started a male titan towards the end of the alpha - all different races too. Female Hunter just happens to be the most...*ahem* shapely combination.
