Hunter was my favorite in the Alpha but it was my first and most leveled character. Gonna give Titan a go first in the Beta!

Same. I played Hunter the most in the Alpha and will main that class come September, but for the Beta I'm going to try out the other classes. I'll start with Titan, since I played that class the least in Alpha.

I've registered two separate beta codes and have yet to receive an email with a beta download code. Is that normal? I was in the alpha, can I use that client when the beta goes live?

Thursday July 17th

Edit: Today is the day for choosing platform, you'll get your beta code next week.

I doubt you can use that client since there will be a new build of the game we are playing with new content, maps ect.

I dont think anyone got their email yet.

the thirst is so strong I am siting here hyped to choose a platform for a BETA that I can't play until next week.

Bungie you magnificent bastards.

LOTS of love!

That was my thinking as well. I dabbled in Titan and Warlock in the Alpha but that double jump though.

Can't be beat!

The poll seems to reiterate what I was feeling in my gut: Titan is going to wind up being an underplayed class in spite of Bungie seemingly thinking it would be the most popular because of Dat Master Chief effect.

I really hope they give Titans some visual flair that makes them more appealing. Warlock's trench coat and Hunter's capes / hoods are just too cool looking.

The best part of the Beta (and alpha) will be getting to test out classes with a low level cap before needing to fully commit to one when the game comes out. Can't wait.

This is how to market, draw in consumers and sell a AAA game.

Alpha access-beta access- DLC prior to release- lots of editions, digital content, etc. Well played bungie.

Rolling warlock for fun for beta. Then hunter all the way come sept.

Don't worry! Titans get loin cloths. Master Chief didn't have a loin cloth!

Did anyone else find it weird in the alpha that enemies could see you half a mile away, even if you're hiding in bushes?

And that they didn't come after you until you got really close?

Wouldn't they try to snipe you or something?

Just a random thought from the Alpha.

Titan may not be as popular but you can bet jurassic that everybody will have a titan class eventually for crucible. Heck I'm starting as warlock but will do titan as secondary class.

The next 7 days or so will be painful.

On a recent Guardian podcast host said hope we will all be able to enter the crucible together after the July 17. Deej responded no doubt my friend, if not sooner.

I hope it is sooner.

Also saw a recent post of the Destiny forum that Bungie.net would be going down for server maintenance is a couple of hours and it may not be possible to sign in during that time. I would imagine that once the site goes down and comes back up, that is when you will be able to access your profile and choose your platform.

You talking about exploration mode? It wouldn't be fun to have enemies snipe you while you're exploring.

Yeah, that's my current biggest concern. While I'm positive that Bungie has already addressed it in the Beta or further, it leaves a bit of a worry in my mind that the AI is going to be... well, not that smart.

I'll be sitting out the Beta. No preorder for me yet.

I think many of the people super excited about this game come from the Borderlands Community. I know that all the people I play Borderlands with are super excited about this game. The hunter class and the warlock class play similar to classes people are used to.

Plus the warlock has the best super in my opinion. I think many of us will end up playing as more than one class.

I would also not be shocked if more classes are added in the future via DLC.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
I haven't been this hyped for a beta since Killzone 2.

Definitely going to have to try out the other classes this time around. In the alpha I only used my warlock character.

AFAIK, awareness and engagement are separate parameters. Engagement is tied to the range of the enemy weapon and awareness is tied more to line of sight and noise. So they'll hear you or see you and become aware of you, but they cant engage you unless they have the range. Snipers usually did just this in The Divide in the alpha. Awareness also seems to have a detatch rate by which they lose interest. Hive have shot at me at Skywatch while i sat down and then eventually got bored of it.

Correct me if im wrong. Is an educated guess based on their Halo AI and skull modifiers.
