thanks, ya i have a beta code already and put it in to bungie.net just didnt want to wait around to DL it and miss some playing time. But if i get the dl code early enough before 1pm (my time tom) then ill probably just dl that instead. Just wasnt sure when exactly the codes would be sent out, so figured id do it the way i did so i dont miss time playing, bc im going away for the weekend for a bachelor party so im missing fri,sat,sun of playing and mon/tues its down, so im pretty bummed about that :(

I preordered on PSN. Where do I go to download the beta, and at what time? I week dump hours into it the next couple days. PEACE.

I think you have to take it to gamestop and they will give you a demo disc. Make sure to get there as early as possible the lines are long already.

It should be available at 10am PDT through PSN, you should see it in your Download List already (either on the console or the SEN website) but Destiny shows as "Waiting". You won't get a download code or anything if you preordered digitally through PSN, everyone else will get codes emailed to them starting at the same 10am time.

EDIT: wait no, the actual game shows already in the download list as "waiting" for the September release. The beta will show up tomorrow at the appropriate time.

Haha, back before my account got approved here, I was lurking HaloGAF and was able to catch that Gamestop manager thing to snag an early code for myself and a friend. We were both scrambling to make new accounts to get more codes for the rest of our group when the program got shut down.

Fun times! (And the fact that that was nearly 5 years ago is seriously messing with my head.)

If he pre-ordered digitally on PSN then you won't get a code. It will automatically pop in your library when Sony enables it before the beat begins.

Aren't those screens from the PS4 version? Makes sense it would require plus as PS4 requires plus for any online game, usually. PS3 doesn't.

My friend (from GAF) and I are gonna nerd it up and set up two tvs in his living room so we can play together most of the weekend, and we can still be 'social'!

Now all we need is the game to be actually playable tomorrow. Which I'm not holding my breath.

The only kind of social to be really, unless you're also using a headset in-game. Then you're being even more "social" :D
