tokyo ghoul ep 4

can someone explain to me how a kitchen knife being thrusted as hard as he can can't cut the skin of a ghoul as seen when he first discovered he was a ghoul, but a cracked tea cup he barely touches can cut him? That bothered me for the entirety of the second half of the episode :/

So much happening in this episode oh my gosh.
Did Firo die? He wasn't on screen very much but he was one of my favourite characters. :(
Still not sure how Jacuzzi and his posse fits into this whole mess. Both him and Ladd were interesting characters in this episode. Jacuzzi seems to do a major character shift in a short amount of time and Ladd seems determined to protect the woman he is destined to kill.

What? Blasphemy! Nah just kidding. AC is definitely not for everyone but I loved it. Scared to return to it now for fear of weeds.

Reading all this 3DS talk makes me realize how much I played it last year (FE:A, LOZ:LBW, Pokemon, SMTIV, AC) and how it's so barren this year. At least Smash and Persona Q are still coming this year.

yeah nothing against AC, it just wasnt for me : (

Nah bro nah. I can't put up with this shit anymore. I gave you 4 episodes too many. I've got AZ, I'm not this god damn starved for mecha anime. DROPPED.

Magical girl idol singers. That's what we've got here.

The story begins with two idols in the middle of a concert when suddenly an alien menace called Noise attacks. The two transform and try to protect everyone, but inevitably, many die. A girl by the name of Hibiki Tachibana, who was at the concert at the wishes of a friend who's circumstances caused her to miss the concert at the last minute, survives, but at the sacrifice of one of the idols.

Two years later, she has now made her way to the same school as the remaining idol, wishing to learn more about the circumstances of her survival. However, as she is on her way home after school, she runs into a swarm of Noise, and must try and escape to survive, protecting a young girl that was in the same area. Finally, surrounded on a rooftop, Hibiki starts to sing, and a power begins to emerge...

That was a much darker beginning than I was expecting from this show. In a way, it gives me hope towards character development in this season and the sequels. Judging from the first episode, however, fight scenes should be animated just fine, and that's always a plus.

I think there's one encounter they don't even show, just settling it between episodes. That was bizarre. It sorts itself out in the second half at least.

Thanks for the answer guys. Will look into the name.

Tokyo Ghoul 4

lol at the grimdark. Is this show going to give Barack Obama a run for its money at the most exaggerating face reactions? It might win though because this one is trying to make it psycho and dark, but it comes off as hilarious. I hope somebody makes a gif of the guy sniffing on the handkerchief I died laughing. So then we can have the trifecta of gifs of this season's anime:

burgertear.gif
minigunorgasm.gif
sniffingrager.gif

I was in this for the battle anime and I know it's coming, but please hurry up.

Hmmm which is funnier?

Persona 4 The Golden Animation Episode 3:

Right, I think I have had enough of the wacky hijinks, I understand they want to focus on the new stuff, but the jumps are so large that all sense of coherency is lost and the new stuff is, well, shit. Dropped like a sup-par RPG.

Fumoffu comes before the Second Raid, because Tessa has a photograph on her desk in The Second Raid from the hot springs trip in Fumoffu.
I wish I knew this before I started The Second Raid. Though now I can't remember at all where I was in the show since I stopped when I learned this fact. I should get back into that show.

Watch the Persona 3 movies when they come out.

Wait should Full Metal Panic Fumoffu be seen before Second Raid, or is it the other way around.

It really doesnt matter when you watch Fumoffu to be honest. It stands alone.

Sabagebu 3
This is amazing.

Yes. Easily the funniest show this season!

I'll admit that I've never seen Steins;Gate, but what does Bravely Default have to do with it?

Makise Kurisu is in some fighting game or something. I know that much.

i don't know what coherency you seek since it's obvious that the anime is intended for people already familliar with the game plot or with the previous anime.
With only so "few" episodes , the true end already adapted, there is no reason to make an anime if not to treat the new events from" golden"

Terror in Tokyo Episode 3

Kind of as dull as the previous episode, Only interesting things are the Sphinx videos but otherwise just to slow and nothing happening.
if the ending is their capture, then I will be pretty mad. Its also unfun when they lose.

The way they use the ost is amazing! I am looking foward to see Lisa's character get more developed because she isn't interesting at all. This show is awesome.

I understand that but it still jumps around to much for my tastes.

Somehow they managed to wrap up at least 5 different stories satisfactorily in 22 minutes. The time skip at the end with Isaac and Miria was great.

Baccano! Series

After the first few episodes I wasn't sure what to think of this series. There were so many time jumps and so many characters to follow. Everything was out of order and most of the time I had no idea what was going on. However, once I got used to the style of how everything was done it started to click and became much more enjoyable.

All of the characters were great. There were a lot of them but I felt a good amount of them got some character development and background which is impressive for such a short series. The way Czeslaw's character was handled right at the end was really well done and I was quite impressed with him. Isaac and Miria were the silly comic relief character but they never got annoying and were consistently funny. Ladd and Rail Tracer's ideologies and morals were very interesting in how they saw the world and others around them. If I could see more of any character it would be these two.

The music and animation were great. I liked the style they used for the character animation. The OP is great. Narrative wise, the style was very different. I'm not sure if this worked for the series' benefit or not but I quite enjoyed it.

I give the series an 8/10. I know there are OVAs that follow this series and I'll probably give them a watch eventually.

Subete no aware
Really struggling to get through Season 1. The procedural shit is grinding me down. I know it gets better in Season 2 but man it's a slog.
Person of Interest and Elementary make CBS one of the better networks in terms of strong serialized procedural television. They're probably two of my favourite ongoing network shows at the moment.

The one thing with both shows is that they each contain shocking "spoilers" later on, so of course you want to avoid those if you're one of those spoiler-phobe people.

all jokes aside watch the OVA's, they're pretty great and finish/continue the story.

I love Isaac and Miria as well. They had the perfect level of upbeat and silly, it never got annoying.

This was a big mistake on the staff's part, you see in the manga
Tsukiyama quickly and without notice cuts Kaneki's skin with his finger nail after he crushes the mug while in the anime they forgot "Ghouls can't be harmed by that weaksauce shit".
So basically what it all boils down to is that shitty adaptation is shitty.

But were talking about intentional comedy and I doubt Tokyo Ghoul is that.

If it makes us all laugh, does it matter? I laughed harder at Aku no Hana ep. 2 last night than any other series managed to make me this year and I'm sure that was supposed to be taken seriously.

Don't hesitate and watch the oavs ... They will give you information you want on the characters. and they are great.

Once you've been able to let it all soak in , just watch durarara next.

Someone here called me SliceSeiba and I almost feel like begging duckroll/the mods to change my name to that.

Ai-Mai-Mi - Mousou Catastrophie 03

This is what chaos feels like.

Just watched the Toradora OVA which I didn't know existed until today and then rewatched some of the episodes. Dem feels man. I just looked up the author and saw that they have another series called Golden Time. Is that one worth watching and does it measure up to Toradora?

It was a shocking surprise that was just completely unexpected especially by how it started. Hopefully potential people interested managed to avoid the surprise.

ORBITAL BEAT is still the best Zwei Wing song.

Tokyo Ghoul Episode 4

All of a sudden this turned into Eyes Wide Shut meets Iron Chef meets a video game boss battle. Yea, stuff that ludicrous requires a deft hand or else it ends up being hilarious.

Sailor Moon 22

You would think the guards of the diamond kingdom wouldn't be so easily fooled by not one but two different 14 year old girls, I can sort of get letting the 14 year old princess of random country in, but not the one with blue skin <_< Come on now

Other then that it was a pretty solid episode

Watch the OVAs for Graham Specter.

Sounds like I should start them right away. Sorry Mike, Elfen Leid will have to wait.

I'll probably start them after dinner tonight.

It just hit me that this is the 3rd time Tokimune has disobeyed an order and has yet has yet to be correctly reprimanded in any way...
