lol
I was waiting for this lol.
What does "Seasonal item" mean in this case?
Woah. First instance of a US retailer thinking they might have a little too much excess PS4 stock? It's the retailer that eats the loss with this stuff.
Unofficial price drops like this are common before official ones. I imagine Sony has to react to MS's Kinectless bundle fast if they don't want to give up another console generation.

Yeah its just like BJ's and Price Club, you need membership just to get in, they sell the gigantic cereal boxes thereI don't think you usual gamer thinks of going to Sam's club to buy video games. Don't you need a membership just to shop her like Costco?
they gotta do whatever they can to get to 10 million units sold first

I believe that's because the price tag must be taken to the register, in order to claim one.LOL. Love the "Please take one" on the tag.
Reads like "Please, we can't get rid of these things..."
Tempting deal though. Still going to try to wait until Black Friday. Should be able to pick up a sweet bundle then, or at least match this deal.

Sony's not dropping their price, ya'll. Absolutely no reason for them to.
err they are telling you to only take one because they are only supposed to put out slips for the amount of stock they have...
Hope this is a joke postUnofficial price drops like this are common before official ones. I imagine Sony has to react to MS's Kinectless bundle fast if they don't want to give up another console generation.
First price drop?
First price drop?
Nah, but they do have lower margins that are made up through larger orders and going after a higher income bracket. Megan McArdle did a good writeup on how Wal-Mart and Costco have radically different business models despite their ostensible similarities a few years ago.I know the idea is that places like Sam's and Costco sell stuff wholesale, and only make money on memberships.
Is that actually how it works?
looks like the race to reach 10 M first is serious business

299.99 is the sweet spot.
$249.99 and a game would do it definitely for me. I wouldn't even think twice.
You forgot the mandatory "needs 6 AAA packed in games for the same $299"299.99 is the sweet spot.

$199.99 + 2 free games + 1 year of PS+ and I'd seriously start thinking about it.
$199 + 5 years of PS+ and a Sams club sized tub of Red vines.
DAY ONE. make it happen Sony.
