-Today Ubisoft released a new demo of Assassin's Creed Unity showing off the 1:1 scale of the city, the seamless moment to moment gameplay, alittle combat, LOTS of stealth and the most impressive realtime visuals ever seen in the series.
-They also showed how they changed what happens when a main target is assassinated, hint:we no longer go to a white animus room and listen to them talk.
-Also should mention that they chose a shorter coat tail this time.

Just an example of what we're working with.

The scale of the Notre Dame is insane. Nothing in past AC games was that big. It's pretty awesome.

I just hope those "memory" segments don't replace the "white room" conversations in the game after an assassination.

But damn, the HUD really does ruin it.

Im thinking like throwing granades and see limbs flying in a cascade of blood and gore filling the streets of murderous despair.

Sounds fun as hell.
According to game informer you cannot poison smoke bomb the crowd.

Assassin's Creed: "It's almost like real life."

Word.

Looks real pretty though, might make this my first AC since BroHo

You'll have HUD options, so there's no need to see this bad HUD. Looks like a beta thing though, they never failed it before.

I just want to murder all of those people in the crowd.

Sorry, this ancestor didn't kill animals or civilians.

I'm hyped as hell, they have really good creative behind it.

http://youtu.be/orLecxD6QUI?t=2m7s this is a version of the same thing, without cuts and with HUD. Its in italian though.

I like the new mini-map design.

How silly of me, for a second there I thought this game might actually not have the usual "made for retards" AC HUD. The mini-map is really not necessary in this particular AC game since you can see all the nearby icons on the map with a click of a button.

I like how open ended these "black box" assassinations are, but I hope this is the tutorial and the rest become more challenging. For all of the AC1 vibes Unity is putting off, hopefully Unity doesn't repeat the flaws of AC1 as well.

Edit: I agree with you jett. Theres too much information given by the game. Let me figure some things out.

At least you can turn it off.

Wow that mini-map is horrible. So bad.

Game looks so nice, however. Hope that gets changed.
You can turn the HUD off at anytime. And not just a blank hud option, you can individually choose which elements of the HUD you want to be shown.

and it's interesting.

Game was again shown running on PC (with BOXO pad) and they mentioned a noticeable difference in graphics -lighting and effects- between the 2 missions they had the chance to try (single and coop). Playing in co op apparently makes the game look worse.

Also mentions Paris' landmarks are modeled 1:1 for the first time in the series

Impressed with the game, parkouring feels a lot smoother..
While in "stealth mode" you can't accidentally climb stuff.
Heists and other missions are randomized to a degree (guards position, some entrances may be locked).
Lots of freedom
Character is customizeable with 200+ items and 75 weapons.
Parry button and dodge button. No more instantly lethal counter attacks

co op campaign is separate mode and 1:3 of the SP campagin, so rather meaty.

My GOD.

It's slick as hell! The little twirl on the dismount, the new climbing animation, lock picking, hidden entrances- this is going to be so good!

It still unnerves me though, because in the end, the games are designed around this idiotic HUD. Just seeing the constant updates and tips popping up, and the game always showing your objective, as if you're an idiot, annoys. Why does the health bar need to have the character's name on it? Who designs this shit?

If I get this game, I'll definitely attempt to play it without this stupid crap.

Poison the crowd is on the softcore side of things, I want to arms and legs to start raining after some fragmentation granades of that time being thrown at them.

I would imagine you'll still desynchronize if you kill a bunch of NPCs.
