Yeah, the 1.3M is the shipped number, but the game came out a couple years ago, so any damage to Capcom from price protection is already baked in by this point.

I'm really getting tired of this "hoping for localization" thing.

The Wii U is doing best and has the most momentum in the US. Localize EVERYTHING. Give the player base things to play, constantly. Japan barely gives a shit about consoles anymore anyway.

Considering the typical Wii U owner is a rabid, die hard who buys everything under the sun, why not? If it plays well, we will buy regardless of what the media thinks of its sales potential. You would think they would produce a ton of Jrpgs given the fan support of Xenoblade. At least that game gets a sequel.

Most Wii U games sell like crap. Only games that have sold well are Mario + Zelda. The Wii U fanbase isn't very commited.

From what I understand, the Skies team became the Sakura Wars team which then became the Valkyria Chronicles team.

Sakura Taisen predates Skies by a long time, it started in the 90s on Saturn.

Can't remember what the numbers are but I think in the end the sales in Japan for all 3 games were quite close despite the platform changes. The lower dev cost for the same amount of sales in Japan was probably the push for VC3 on the PSP. Will try to find some numbers.

creamsugar actually showed us a couple months back that on Wii U, Rayman not only passed 100k, but at least at that point passed Sonic Lost World and MH3U (both also above 100k).

I don't think so, mostly because Darksiders 3 isn't a thing just without a publisher, like Bayo2 or Devil's Third. And Nordic Games have already stated that they want to make DS3.
