That sucks. Although they really didn't impact gameplay or the overall experience, I though they were pretty harmless and sometimes challenging to attain for some of them.

I didn't feel like I did my best unless I got the Offensive Master/Artist and KO Master/Artist each time I played.

Since I was thinking about it anyway...

Fi special moveset:

Neutral = Ballad of the Goddess: looks like Sing, but behaves like Reflector (doesn't reflect projectiles though)

Side = Dancing move: moves a fixed distance and then returns to the starting point, damaging anyone in her path (can be used to recover only if making contact with a ledge, in which case she will grab it instead of returning to the starting point)

Down = Charge move: increases damage and knockback of her next physical (A) attack, including smashes

Up = Recovery move: rapidly launches herself vertically upward, only effective as an attack if making contact directly from below

Every word she speaks is like a hammer driving a nail into my head, reiterating unskippable dialogue that was told to you less than 60 seconds ago. Fi represents the end of exploration, replacing it with fucking waypoints and pointing a stick at a thing. Her only redeeming quality is that she was in a Zelda game, which still means something to certain people.

I finished Earthbound about 3 weeks ago for the first time, after going on and off for some years. I just have to say I haven't been hyped for Ness ever in my life like I am right now, the part where you travel to Magicant via the Eight Melodies has to be in my Top 10 best gaming moments ever. It's an amazing journey where you battle the Kraken, the KKK, zombies, robots, aliens, and sentient Dali paintings, probably my favorite RPG of all time.
So after Snake is 99.9% to be removed, please Ness or Lucas, still be in the game.

For me, I would be ok with it even if it were a 1:1 trade for Toon Ganondorf. I like the current incarnation of Dorf but I'm not particularly attached to it, so it'd be better to have a different Dorf with a totally unique moveset.

Well it seems like Sakurai has been dropping hints through secondary means (items, SmashRun, and of course the G&W appearance at the end of Pac-Man's trailer). He has shown the Galaga AT and Special Flag months before E3 happened. And Samurai Goroh also was shown during the Smash Direct.

I'm pretty sure this is Sakurai's way of hinting at characters for fans of the Smash series, and the series the character(s) originate from.

I'm pretty sure that, regardless of whether or not any of the 2 is cut, that the 3DS version will have a stage in reference to Mother 3 (since that is on a handheld), and the Wii U version will have a stage in reference to one of the first 2 games.

I think it would be odd to have anything else but that spread.

I honestly don't see a reason why they would cut Lucas. He shares a bunch of animations with Ness, they could just borrow a bunch from Ness. A lot of his moves behave like slightly modified Ness moves too, just modified animations and calculations.

He'd certainly be easier to add to the game than Wolf (who's about 90% unique, while Lucas is more like 50%), and most people think Wolf is fairly safe.

After yesterday's voter snafu, I spent a pretty good chunk of today going through the first poll and validating people. A lot of you actually PM'd me and saved me some trouble, so thanks! All in all, only a few changes had to be made, and fortunately they all happened in the lower ranks below 20; a few of the higher ranking characters lost a couple of points, but nothing to change their position on the list.
