Does that seriously work? what did you tell them? i'll give it a try

I said I hadn't played since 2010 and I wanted to get a chance to get back into the swing of things but there wasn't a scroll of Resurrection anymore. I asked if there was any way to get a week free or a trial and he or she just gave it up.

Glad it worked!

I've seen posts before on here and on reddit saying this usually works. Obviously they won't let you abuse it, but if you haven't played for a while they will let you back in.

Enjoy!

Well I played all weekend and got myself to level 27. I mentioned a few days ago how I had just started and wanted some tips. A guild that seems to accept everyone asked me to join. When I finally came to a dungeon and realized I could barely face the level 23-25 enemies without dying by the second consecutive battle, a player in the guild who had played since around 2004 came to my aid after asking help in the Guild chat. He helped me through the first two dungeons and let me keep all loot. He logged off after the second dungeon since it was late. I'm glad to see a massive group have an actually GOOD community behind it. While I can tell a lot of WoW is full of vile, toxic players (judging by PvP and general feedback of WoW), I'm glad I was able to get assistance (albeit via overkill) when it came to trying to get through a rough section early and under prepared.

After that, I looked into pet battles and have found a very fun minigame
(meta game?)
to pass the time now. This game is crazy huge. I can see why there's so much of a liking behind it. I used to really dislike World of Warcraft until giving it another chance to try it. You wouldn't see what makes the game good from a starting zone or just questing. You really have to get into Stormwind or the more populated areas to really see why this game is so good. I regret not being part of this game for years.

I may or may not have made a big sob story about being a long time customer since closed beta, owning all of the CE's, and asking about a discount about character transfers so I could play with my guild on their new server.

They may or may not have given me a transfer and faction change for free.

Cannot confirm/deny...

But yeah, support tickets are awesome.

Glad you gave it a shot, it is a fun deep game with plenty to do. make sure to pay it forward when you get higher level and more familiar with other new people that you come across

Dungeons are designed for 5 players in a group. Usually it's not a problem using the LFG tool because people are vastly overgeared with heirlooms and stomp through everything (teaching bad habits to new players). If you were struggling through them, I can only guess that you tried to enter and tackle them solo?

Yeah... I didn't know. ^_^'

Hmm. Currently the LFG/LFR doesn't work at all for me.

It puts me in the queue when I click it, but it doesn't tell me that, nor does the window pop up when the queue is ready, basically meaning I can't use it at all atm.

Tried disabling all addons, no luck.

Anyone had a similar problem?

From what I've found after playing for almost the whole time the game has been out... random groups tend to suck. Playing with people you know, be it from the server or from your guild or your friendlist and the enjoyment shoots up.
(random groups got worse with LFD/LFR, and cross server PVP... but faster groups make it worth it)

Haven't ever heard of anything like that. If it wouldn't destroy your ability to play, you can go to the game options on the Bnet launcher and reset user settings or run the repair tool. See if those fix it.

Resubbed. My god the game has changed since 2007!

Started a Death Knight and got him to 61. Digging the high DPS, but jeez the Outland stuff is boring. I tried some Cataclysm questing on my Blood Elf Paladin as well, and that was crazy fast.

It seems Outland never got the "new" quest treatment from Blizzard in terms of XP and quest design. Anywhere else to get from 60 to 70?

Unfortunately theres nothing you can do there to speed it up. You only need to get to 58 though before you can run into the WoTLK areas and level faster. At this point the TBC content is the oldest in the game, and BOY oh boy does it show. Like someone else said, run the instances, PvP if you can stomach it, and get to 58 so you can leave that place.

I resubbed two weeks ago. (Last played back in Cataclysm.)

Went from 85 to 90 in 5 days just doing the outdoor solo quests.

Then I went to the Timeless Isle and picked up iLvl 469 gear laying around all over the island. Even the non-elite mobs were dropping those epic tokens. I thought the game was bugged or something. I have enough gear for my main AND any Alt I want, since MoP came with a free level 90 boost.

Spent the past week doing LFR and I'm half-way through the Seige or Orgrimmar with an average iLvl of 506.

Blizzard does a pretty good job of catching you up to everyone else.

I don't feel like I missed anything.

I felt the same way this weekend. I really like what the Timeless Isle brings to the game. It has me almost ready to LFR after a few hours this weekend.

The more I play my elemental shaman the more I hate it. I wanted to raid with it in Wod, but playing solo or doing anything in the world where there are 4+ mobs on you is a pain in the ass. The lack of mobility, ughhhh. Once lightning bolt on the go is removed i think ill detest playing it, and hate my self for choosing elemental for the expansion.

Hello all I need some help. My realms are categorized by region (United States, Oceanic, Latin America, and Brazil) while my friend's is categorized by language (English, French, German, etc). I'm in the good ol' US of A and he's in Korea currently (serving in the air force he speaks 0 Korean).

He can't even see Mal'Ganis on his server list. Is there a reason for that? Can we play on the same server?

Yours is US and his is EU. That's how they're organized in those regions.

How can he switch regions?

If you guys just started, he might be able to contact support and see what they can do (I bought the wrong version type situation). But in general the EU and US systems are completely separate so there's no actual way to do that in general. It's like having a JP and US psn account, they're completely incompatible.

The six other toons are already 85 with full rest xp. It takes me anywhere from 2-3 days to LVL from 85-90. I leveled most of them to 85 with full heirlooms during Cata. I'd like to save my wod 90 boost for something special.
Wow, that's awesome.

I'm trying to stay motivated to level my Warlock to 90 without a boost. I have full heirlooms so hopefully it won't be too bad.

He has a level 61 already. Damn this is not a good look for my first day back lol.

I guess I'll have him contact support.

Does anyone think Blizz will offer character service discounts before WoD's release? I'm wanting to race change one of my characters, but am a bit hesitant wondering if discounts will happen in a couple of months time.

No way to tell! They never announce that stuff beforehand.

It would make sense given all the changes, but it's hard to predict. I would wait considering the new models aren't in yet.

Armory slow for anyone else? It hasn't properly loaded my Warlock since I got my new BoA staff last night. Was showing his old weapon forever, and now it's showing the staff, but without gems.

Residual effect of the DDoS attacks?

Rhaknar

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
I think I have 2 more resets (this week and next) before my sub is out, fucking lei shin better drop my t14 shoulders before my sub is out :(

Goddamn, lvling 2 professions is tedious. How to not get bored?

Queue for something while you grind it out. Turn your volume all the way up. When your queue pops you'll go from the gentle rustling SFX of crafting to 'DUH DUH DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' and you'll jump out of your chair, roundhouse kick your computer out of the window all while screaming. Your day gets interesting from there.

Reminds me a weird thing I ran into last night trying to play with all the DDoS attacks going on.

Opened up the Dungeon Finder on my Shaman and I had every dungeon available for Specific Dungeons, including those way outside of my level range (So every Normal/Heroic dungeon basically).

But of course, it didn't work and the game kinda tripped out.

No joke, I've done that once or twice and scared the hell outta myself.

Especially when it's all nice and quiet then-DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
