Pokken Tournament co-developed with Harada and Namco Bandai Announced for arcades

Got an e-mail from TPCi's PR featuring this.

I will be very, very, very, very, very surprised if it doesn't come
a) in the west
b) on the Wii U

This gives even greater evidence for a Wii U port.

Nintendo probably wants to save the console announcement for when they'll need it. The past few Januarys have had new Wii U game announcements. Last year was Hyrule Warriors. I could see Pokken taking that spot.

It's a bit hard to be REALLY hyped when it's only announced for the Arcade in Japan so far, but it has to show up on Wii U worldwide eventually. It just... might not be until 2016. :'s

I hope it has Brelloom.

Counted my list, 98 pokemons + 3 confirmed (+3 if separate Regice, Registeel and Regigigas from Regirock) (- 1 if remove Wailord) (+1 if Pikachu).

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Is it true that Ishihara said Fighting type only?

How does one submit character suggestions? Because I have a few for Harada-san

So, Tekken games from Arcade to Console

Tekken 6: 2 years
Tekken 5: 3 months
Tekken 4: 8 months
Tekken 3: 1 year
Tekken 2: 7 months
Tekken 1: 4 months
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: 1 year
Tekken Tag Tournament 1: 9 months

Bit of a wildcard in attempting to predict

I don't think they're going to want to sit on this too long. I imagine it will be sometime within 6-9 months.

I guess we'll play this in late 2016

Tekken 6 was never ported to consoles.

What we call Tekken 6 is actually Tekken 6:BR

I thought that too, but it would be too early for a console announcement. I'd say that E3 next year is more likely to have it's home version confirmed for worldwide release.

A lot of people were speculating about this using Amiibo before the game was officially announced. Now that it is, and it's going to have an arcade release first...is Amiibo feasible now? Maybe the console release will have extra characters/modes etc?

Also, imagine this becomes a staple Nintendo IP that gets new iterations and we get a Pokken Tag Tournament! :0

Tekken 6 was a mistake they won't make again. The arcade release also had a major upgrade in between (at the 1 year mark) called Bloodline Rebellion.

Ah, I didn't know that re: Tekken 6.

Still, I would be very surprised if we don't at least hear about a Wii U version by Autumn next year.

I can't believe people actually think this will not come out on Wii U.

Anyway, off the top of my head I want to see:
Scyther
Scizor (possibly a super or something like I assume the Mega Lucario is)
Hitmontop
Breloom
Deoxys (either seperate or with form change move)
Gallade
Hawlucha

I imagine Luchadore costume Pikachu will be in it too.

Pokemon that seem good:
Primeape
Poliwrath
Hitmonlee
Hitmonchan
Hitmontop
Mega Mewtwo
Heracross & Mega
Blaziken & Mega
Breloom
Infernape
Toxicroak
Gallade
Conkeldurr
Hawlucha
Sawk
Throh

Non-fighting Pokemon that would be a good fit:
Dragonite
Haxorous
Scizor
Scyther
Pinsir
Armaldo
Genesect
Tyranitar & Mega
Shiftry
Greninja
Electavire/buzz
(Mega) Ampharos
Magmar/mortar
Darmanitan
Typhlosion
Delphox
Xatu
Sceptile
Ludicolo
Chesnaught
Sandslash
Nidoking/queen
Rhyperior
Swampert
Krookodile
Sneasel
Gengar
Alakazam
Mewtwo
Bisharp
Urasaring
Feraligatr

There's a ton of 'em that could be cool. I even tried to leave out a bunch. I failed though. So let's say it has to be a shortlist... we'll go with 20:

1. Hitmonchan
2. Hitmonlee
3. Primeape
4. Poliwrath
5. Breloom
6. Blaziken
7. Infernape
8. Toxicroak
9. Gallade
10. Heracross & Mega
11. Conkeldurr
12. Hawlucha
13. Sawk
14. Throh
15. Tyranitar
16. Mewtwo (and Mega X)
17. Nidoking
18. Feraligatr
19. Scizor (and Mega I guess)
20. Shiftry

*facepalm*

You don't need a petition. It's going to be out on Wii U one year max after the arcade version. Harada hinted about it, Pokémon are co-owned by Nintendo, Nintendo needs games on Wii U.

Besides, two different names have been trademarked, Pokkén Tournament and Pokkén Fighters, the latter could be the Wii U version's name.

Duuhhh the petition is people a joking about how hyped they are.

I hope they keep it limited to fighting Pokés as much as possible. There's tons of them and it would suck if one of them got snuffed just to get some fan favourites in.

Also, Mega Mewtwo Y in Smash, Mega Mewtwo X in Pokkén oommmmggg
I can dream

I'm thinking late 2015, maybe early 2016. No way this is taking a year or more, hopefully.

You want another prediction? Pokken Fighters is gonna be the Amiibo line, while Tournament will stay as the name of the game.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???

That's definitely how Nintendo will be selling the game - no doubt about it.
