It feels like a new and familiar game at the same time.

One of the new tweaks I really like is replacing the residential floors with hotel suites that now accept guests that make you money when they check out, you now hire people straight to their jobs from a holding area in the lobby. Such a great idea as it solves the issue of having a bunch of floors which don't make you any money.

Edit: My friend code is 459W if anyone wants to add me.

What a great time to be an iOS gamer.

I didn't get this feeling since the Commodore64 or Amiga times.
So many new things, so many genres, so cool new things.

I'm a bit overwhelmed.

So I am really digging Motorsport Manager, my only problem so far is the fact that a game takes a decent amount of time and doesn't seem really pick up and put down friendly.

Also stop recommending games, I have enough to play!

I suck at Dodo Master, holy shit.

Nightmare Coop is fantastic, but does anyone else get a bit of lag after tapping on something and the little info window popping up? Running on a 5S and it's kinda annoying/strange.

Dodo Master is so damn generic. Predictable platformer. A bit repetitive too. Such a shame, because its premise had a lot of charm.

Almightree is interesting. Cute puzzle, great graphics. A bit of a letdown in how repetitive it is, too.

Alien Creeps TD is perfectly silly. No wheel reinvention but a nice TD nevertheless. The F2P mechanics aren't that bad either.

Little Raiders; Robin's Revenge is quite neat. Lot of cuteness overload and decent pixel art for once. Gameplay is simplistic as hell but still enjoyable.

Ace Ferrara and the Dino Menace is crap.

Shoot the Moon is a piece of caca.

Back to Bed is gorgeous and has stuttering animation. Also a stupid puzzler.

Hated the Nightmare Cooperative, I never seem to get into roguelikes :-(

I can normally do 1 race per trainride during commute.

Excellent game indeed, this morning I won the driver and team championship of Australia.

99 Bricks Wizard Academy is a lot fun too, I'm not even a big Tetris fan but this is really addicting.

I think it's a known bug and should be addressed in the already sent to Apple update, because I have the same (very seldom tough) on iPad Air (4S plays flawless instead...weird).

I submitted a list of (minor) bugs and I was told every one it's been already addressed, so I'm confident.
The most offending thing is that for some reason the tutorial pop ups sometimes are triggered mid game.

By any chance...did you notice if you have the 'bad' discoveries all clear?
I did, but apparently I'm the only one with that bug :(

Amazing game anyway....really addicting.
62 so far....I died in the 4 to last stage (the first gold one).
It's INSANE.

Yep, all my 'bad' discoveries are clear, too. Guess we get the special bugs, eh? ;)

Glad to hear a patch is on the way! I've only played three or four games but it's good fun.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.

I'm enjoying this one too. I'm just a few hours in, and the paywall hasn't smacked me yet.. which is good. It's a fun mix of basebuilding, resourse management, and one-touch combat with up to three squads.

I haven't bought Bioshock merely because I've already played it in all it's glory and the port sounds like a lot is lost in translation as far as atmosphere, etc.

But I still want it to be successful just to help prove how higher priced premium games can do well and to help the rest of the gaming world to start taking mobile gaming more seriously.

I checked the charts and saw it was up to 18th in paid games. My joy came down fast seeing that even though the game costs $15, it's all the way down at #76 on top grossing games.

I have an open mind when it comes to F2P games and don't immediately write them off, but it sickens me to see the kind of crappy parasitic bullshit that totally dominates the top grossing games.

Urgggh!

But remember that Bioshock has a lot of factors that might dissuade people from buying compared to a game like XCom. The game has been out for years, many people probably already have it on some other platform, and for cheaper. I got Bioshock on PC for $5. Also FPSs don't control as well with touch controls compared to other genres, the diminished visuals of the IOS version, the size of the app, all are factors that would turn people off.

All true. Just gotta stop looking at the top grossing charts though because it still upsets me knowing that every day millions of dollars are being made by the likes of Candy Crush.

On another note, I hope Alone gets more attention. One of the best twitch flyers I've played with an awesome sense of speed. Glad to see PG give it a 9/10.

I'm still shocked by how addictive this game is.
The 'just another run' factor is out of the roof.
I'm constantly trying new party combos, while desperately trying to unlock last 3 characters.

That feeling when you have a full 4 character party, everyone maxed out and with one item...you press the potion button and destroy every enemy at once....you feel so powerful....then everyone dies next stage in 3 turns.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE.

I loved the Alpaca games, but really tired myself out on them (played all three back to back). Loving the Tree House one - like how I can just leave it on its own for a bit rather than constantly tapping. Really like the Silent Hill/lynchian feel too.

#NEOGAF club in Tiny Tower is failing so hard :(

Maybe not many have joined though.

I really hate the notification sound on it though. It's like something breaking. And when it plays in the middle of the night...

It's cool that you can visit other friends' Towers.

I love the concept behind Hoplite but i suck so bad at it lol. Is The Nighmare Cooperative similar in concept? I'd love to love it but I'm quite sure it will be too difficult for me :D

I am 3LTN! Unfortunately, I've got no Snorkle Slots.

I will add some of you as well.

/edit Added all of you! Let's get this rolling!! :D

Anyone hit the mutha load in poker on TTV?

I struggle playing that because I'm not sure on what's what. It has higher jackpots though but perhaps lower chance of winning. Slots is quick and easy and normally gives good results but smaller payouts. 21 or bust has a high chance of winning but low payouts.

Nice. Glad to see it getting the praise it deserves. Honestly up there with Leo's Fortune in terms of near console quality platforming.

Only gripe with the review is that I don't find it THAT easy. Or I just suck.

Just finished the game. It was fun, if a little by the books. Certainly worth $1.

Also playing Castle of Illusion. It's charming and nostalgic, but pretty mediocre. Also jarring after 60 fps and tight controls of Dodo.

There are plenty of fun iOS platformers, but very few are really top notch. Haven't tried Leo's Fortune yet though.

Have you played Penumbear, Incoboto, 14px, Mutant Mudds, and Stealth Inc?

And Leo's Fortune is excellent

Stealth Inc is great and a part of the very few I mentioned. Mutant Mudds is super mediocre to me. 14px is fun too.

Haven't tried Penumbear and Incoboto. Not a fan of puzzle platformers, I'm more into pure platforming (Stealth Inc is a rare exception).

Penumbear definitely had some puzzle aspects but it's very much a hardcore hard-as-nails platformer. Timing and precision is a must or you will die. I can't recommend the game enough

This is give some light to a dark dark day(s) of mine... Super Meat Boy Forever is coming to iOS and Steam in 2015, without IAP, six chapters full of cut-scenes and bosses (double the boss fights of the original game), made from scratch for touch devices, has an endless mode and more, much more...

It's not a little iOS throwaway game," Refenes said. "We want to do a full-fledged game

Super Meat Boy: Forever, Fact Sheet.

SMB:F is a totally new touch based super meat boy game for Phones, Tablets and Steam made by Myself and Tommy Refenes.

Our goal with SMB:F is to design a new full length platformer for touch devices from the ground up to avoid tacking bad controls on an existing design. we want to make something that embodies the original Super Meat Boy but is designed around a simple yet intuitive control scheme allowing for pin point accuracy and surprisingly deep controls without the use of multiple buttons/analog sticks.

FAQ:

- SMB:F will release sometime next year for phones, tablets and steam. (possibly others but this is all we have set in stone right now)

- SMB:F will feature a full story, 6 chapters, and double the bosses the original game featured.

- SMB:F is not an endless runner, but will feature an endless mode with online high scores and daily runs.

- SMB:F will feature a full fledged dark world featuring dark warp zones, bosses, new playable indie game characters and more.

- SMB:F will feature a vast randomly generated level structure that ensures a totally new play experience with each death.

- SMB:F is only 2 months into development, but as you can see things are moving pretty fast.

THE NOT'S:

- SMB:F is not a simple endless runner

- SMB:F will not use abusive $ tactics to drain your wallet and cheapen the game experience

- SMB:F is not a port of super meat boy

- SMB:F is not a one button game

- SMB:F is not exclusive to phones/touch screens

Also wanted to mention Star Wars Journeys that's currently on sale for a buck. I had dismissed it at first as another crappy SW tie-in (this time as a game book).

But found out about the Podracing segment of it. And I'm glad I did. I loved Episode 1: Racer back when it was out and this is a surprisingly good adaptation of it with better graphics and all.

So even if you buy it for just that, I'd say it's well worth the buck. Brings back memories.

Thanks for the heads up. Nephew's gonna love it.

Not an endless runner, but it is an autoscrolling runner...
Not a one button game, though so the gameplay will be more complex than just jumping. Probably dashing and jump.

But seriously only way to get the best times in SMB was to practically play it like an auto runner and not stop moving forward

Yes, what SMB does so well is that rush of having to move as fast as possible while navigating all those obstacles to reach the end. To strip the genre of all but punishing/rewarding gameplay. And I think the iOS version will have the same feeling, so its soul still remains the same. "Not a one button game" sounds promising too. I am hoping for the best.

Update: New video of what it seems the endless mode from Pax Prime 2014 :D

A fun but repetitive hack-n-slash. I like the visuals and you feel powerful, and it's cool how different gear and weapons gives you new attacks. But it's definitely in your face about IAP and feels geared towards grinding. I played it when I bought it, but not really motivated to go back and progress further

:/

Ok so I'll avoid it. Thanks for the tip!

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
I just started playing The Firm and I love it. Such a simple idea, but it really is like rubbing your belly/patting your head after a while. The atmosphere and concept really reminds me of Papers Please too, like popping pills to be able to keep up and the general melancholy, etc.
